Very nice and well-kept premises. Comfortable room and beautiful view. Great experience to drive up the road to the lodge (road was perfectly doable with a normal car, road was dry). Very hospitable host and staff.

Nothing to complain about! The complaints here about the access road are greatly exaggerated. The road is very easy to drive on, even with "normal" vehicles. Most annoying is the last part of the (official!) road in the villagedue to numerous potholes, but thats only a few meter.

Ingrid made our stay absolutely perfect!! We were greeted by zebras and ostrich as soon as we entered the grounds - already quite the experience! Our room had amazing views and was very comfortable and clean. We had dinner on the property our first night which was one of our favorite meals of the trip! We did the Addo park, Schotia Safari and a Giraffe walk all by recommendations from Ingrid and we had the perfect trip.

For some, the accommodation might be a little too remote. There are not many opportunities to eat out. However, breakfast and dinner at the lodge are delicious.

The highlight was the tranquillity and nature of the accommodation. It is also very beautiful, stylish and cozy. We immediately felt at home. Ingrid is a brilliant hostess and gives good advice. She is very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious. Even though the access road to the lodge is a bit long, you can easily reach activities such as Addo and Schotia Safari.

The lodge is nice and secluded if you want peace and quiet. One can also walk on your own on the property, amongst antelope. The setting and view is amazing from all rooms. The kitchen staff were very friendly and the food was amazing.

It was rather cold, due to low external temperatures. Difficult to reach without a car.

Every chalet has its own terrasse/balcony with an amazing view. There are zebras, ostriches and elands that you can see, without needing a safari. Comfortable accommodation, great staff and amazing breakfast.

The dirt road to the farm, definitely not recommend for a fancy car.

Very welcoming and friendly host, beautiful chalet with beautiful views. Close to so many wildlife reserves. A nice quiet place to rest the soul.

We loved everything! It is a beautiful former cattle farm on the original grounds, with peace and quite feel of nature to it. Zebras an ostriches greet you when arriving. Ingrid and staff very welcoming and friendly. And there was the delicious breakfast and set evening meals. The location was excellent on the cooler mountain ridge with breathtak ing views of the valley beneath and surrounding mountains.

The Lodge is a perfect hideaway! Once you’ve got there (pay attention to Ingrid’s directions), you can really calm down and relax! Lots of privacy, stunning views, friendly and helpful staff plus host, good food, wild animals and lots more. Ideal to explore Addo or private game reserves. Just a pool would make it a 10. When it gets hot during load shedding a dip would be very much appreciated! Thanks to Ingrid and her Team for this amazing experience.

We had a great time here! It's very close to Addo Elephant Park and Amakhala Game Reserve. The view from the bedroom is amazing and it was our best accommodation during our Garden Road trip. There is a restaurant in the property so very convenient to eat in the evening. The place is calm, very romantic and we could so zebras inside the property!

A most beautiful, peaceful location. First class accommodation with amazing views, wonderful staff and hostess. A very tasty dinner and a sumptuous breakfast were served. We loved it all.

The lodge has individual chalets, very separated from each other. It offers a privacy and has everything you need for a very relaxing stay. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the chalets are comfortable, have a fridge filled with refreshments, WIFI is superb. But best of all is the spectacular view. You can sit on the terrace of your chalet and keep watching the beautiful landscape, mountains, valleys and spectacular stars at night. There is a family style dinner served in the evening and a very pleasant breakfast. The place also has some zebras. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.A very good base for the Addo Elephant park and I enjoyed also the Scotia safari.

Great lodge for visiting Addo and other safari parks but the nearby city Paterson isn’t the prettiest..

- great host Ingrid! We felt at home instantly - amazing lodges with a great view in pure nature - Africa at its finest - animals on property (ostriches Frida & Franzl, zebras, monkeys, etc.) - definitely coming back!
