Can't say anything negative about this place. If you hate being relaxed, pampered (they offer massages), and seeing the wildest animal, then this is place is not for you. :)

As someone who spent HOURS looking for the right camp, I can't express in words how AMAZING this place was!! I was so pleased to have booked it for me and my partner. First of all, the camp can only accomodate 10 people, so it felt very personalized and intimate. The staff was overly gracious and kind, and did everything to meet our needs. We stayed in the luxury tent, and highly recommend. You were even more removed from the camp and that was beyond intimate. As an LGBT+ couple, we felt safe to be ourselves and we appreciated it. Angela, the game drive guide, was EXCEPTIONAL. Loved every game drive we had with her. Lastly, we saw FOUR of the Big 5, and even saw a herd of elephants at the onsite water hole. It was one of the most magical experiences of our lives. Would highly highly recommend. 15/10!!

Nothing - everything was perfect!

We spend 16 beautiful days in south africa but the last 3 nights at Isambane Camp has been our absolute highlight! We created memories we will remember a live time! The Camp is just perfect as it is. Great People, great food and great place! The tents, the bathrooms, the different dinning places, the pool area and the view to the waterhole were so so beautiful! It felt like home! The daily game drives has been amazing! We learned a lot about the nature, the animals and of course saw lots of wild animals! It was impressive to come so close to this stunning animals! We are definitely gonna miss Isambane! Thanks a lot to the hole Isambane Family for this special experience.

You are going to the best in the business if you book at Isambane. The staff is super helpful, kind, fun, and always go above and beyond. Highly recommend this lodge if you search something more intimate. Food is amazing, the game drives are fun and rich, and everything is made for you to feel the best.

We loved our stay at this gorgeous bush camp, what a gem of a place. Edward, Yvonne and the team at Isambane are warm, hospitable and fun. The game guiding was exceptional - we saw and learnt so much. Absolutely Fabulous !

The place is unbelievable, the staff where incredibly friendly and the attention to detail is amazing. It felt like a luxury bush experience and the safari drives with Angela where incredible. We left feeling feeling like we had made friends and had a great experience and learnt a lot and saw lots of animals. We also stayed in a standard tent which at first I was apprehensive but it was a unique experience and we spent hardly any time in the tent so would definitely be up for doing it again! We want to go back already!

It was perfect

Everything! From start to finish it was perfect. The level of hospitality was off the scale - nothing was too much trouble for Martin, Shayna, Angela and the brilliant kitchen team. The drives were informative and exciting - we saw lions, elephants, giraffe, zebra, impala, jackals, bush babies, dwarf mongoose - the list goes on!

Unfortunately, the WIFI doesn't work well in every area of the camp.

My whole stay exceeded my expectations by far! I don't know where to start. The location was perfect (about 1hr away from Hoedspruit airport), the accommodation incredibly well-managed, clean, and the luxury tent was super spacious and comfortable, the staff always friendly and super supportive in terms of any extra needs or questions, and the game drives extraordinary and guided by the most experienced wildlife experts. At one day a big herd of elephants passed the camp while I was sitting on the veranda! I absolutely liked the smaller size of the camp making you really feel home and taken care of.

You really NEED to book this place! <insert a very convincing short girl 😉> It is filled with incredibly kind people, the best food & beautifully designed accommodations. But more important, they are not just offering you a few days of safari, they are sharing their absolute passion and (mindblowing!!) knowledge of the bush. We learned sooo much in a short time & we daaamn much loved it! In fact we loved it that much, we drove back 800km to end our trip, in the amazing Isambane kind of way, as it started. & we’re very happy we did!

Everything from start to finish was amazing. we can’t thank the whole team enough — Ed, Yvonne, Martin, Sylvia, Sibu, Eunita, Lucia, — their passion for the bush and for hospitality shines through every single detail. Beautiful surroundings, in the middle of the bush action. we were spoilt by multiple visitors to the waterhole – elephants, giraffes, and leopard included. Ed is the probably the best guide you’ll meet, telling stories about creatures big and small, full of knowledge and amazing energy. Game drives were absolute treat!

No airconditioning and only charging phones during the day, but thats understandable for the area. The menues are good but set so maybe take it into consideration if you are very picky.

Inside the park, great hosts with good background knowlage of the area. Rooms are great and comfortable, wifi covers the entire camp. Food was very good.

The Camp is a luxurious idyll in the middle of the African bush. You won’t regret coming here! Even though it’s a bush camp it was incredibly clean, tidy and safe. The game drives with Angela were always fun and educational. Even tho it’s not directly in the Krüger, you still have chances to see the Big 5. The food was amazing and always prepared with so much passion for detail. The best part about Isambane has to be the staff tho. Every single person at the camp is incredibly kind, caring and fun to talk to. We had an awesome time here and will definitely come back on our next SA trip! Cheers!

The staff at isambane were extremely helpful! Not only did they go above and beyond with exceptional meals and service, but we also got to learn so much about nature and the incredible animals we saw at isambane. The game drives were amazing and we got to see so many different animals including lions, elephants, zebra, kudu, Waterbuck, impala, monkeys & more! Such an amazing experience.

The staff members were so friendly and made a real effort to get to know us and let us feel comfortable. The setting is great and we had the privilege of close encounters with elephants at the pool. Our field guide Angela was so knowledgeable and really mindful on our game drives. It was a wonderful experience overall.

We have stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Stayed in the luxury tent with waterhole view and that was amazing. Zebra’s, giraffes and many antilopes came to visit. Service and food were excellent and Angela is a really good and friendly guide. Really could have stayed longer!

The whole Team is amazing and willing to do everything that you will have an unforgettable experience. During our stay we had the morning and evening safari with Edward, and he is a brilliant guide! We had some other safaris so far, but never met someone who is so passionate. He explains all the time interesting facts, is reading the tracks from the animals and listening to their calls. We were lucky to see a pride of lions on the hunt during the night safari, but Edward always try not to disturb the animals. The team in the kitchen and all other persons are outstanding too. To say it in the words from Ndivhuwo, it was a pleasure! Thank you for the whole Isambane team to make our stay so special.
