We had a wonderful time at Jaya's place. Ian was such a welcoming and helpful host. The property is beautiful and our unit was very private and cosy. Will definitely visit again in the future!

That their weren't any fans and perhaps a mop. Other than that all the needed amenities were provided for.

I loved the location and that we were right in the middle of nature. It was calm and tranquil and our dogs were able to roam around. Good value for money.

No decent lights in the kitchen. Water supply was intermittent. Stove was faulty and was not fixed immediately. No daily cleaning service. No INTERNET!!

The entire vibe was just amazing, loved every moment of it. The Landlord was amazing and so kind, he told us about the area, what is in the area, where to go, gave us a map, just amazing and clean too.

The wood was mostly wet so we struggled to keep the fore going. Just bought from the local Spar...was a little drier. One bit of advice would be to cut back the hedge on the driveway...it does scratch the paint work of car. Not a reflection on the venue but Hogsback Tourism really need to put pressure on the local authority to check signage and road quality...not great if you don't have a car that can handle the roads. Many of the spots are not clearly sign posted and walkways are damaged...but if you are remaining at Jaya's Place you're in good hands!

Friendliness and helpful lady on arrival. She helped start a fire for us. Love the driveway approach and seclusion of the space. Short trip to anywhere in Hogsback from here. Loved all the spots we finally found to visit...and waking to the sound of the friendly pigs and monkeys each morning was a special treat to watch!

Quiet and peaceful with your own garden separate from the other cottages. We even had two little pigs visit us the one day. Very clean and everything available that is needed for a self-catering stay. All attractions and restaurants in very close proximity

The cottage lacked a few basic facilities in the kitchen and we really missed comfortable chairs when sitting outside.

Ian is the perfect host and this is an exceptional place with the vegetable garden where one can harvest your salad ingredience; friendly dogs and hogs running around - all located in a stunning area. This was our second visit and we will be back for more.

We stayed in the Orchard Cottage. The host- Ian was very hospitable and incredibly friendly. Bed was comfortable with an electric blanket plus extra blankets. Living area had a cute fireplace and firewood is sold by the host per crate - which is perfect for cold nights and mornings. Kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery and the necessary glassware. Hot water is gas heated and stove is also gas - great during times of loadshedding. Amazing privacy - our cottage had it's own garden and braai area.

There was nothing negative, all was perfect. We have thoroughly enjoyed this place and the friendly hosts that supplied us with plums, lemons, self pickled porcini and forest mushrooms... All very nice!

Hogsback was a surprise to us, we did not know what to expect, but were positively surprised. Jaya`s Place is very recommendable if you do not look for luxury in modern technology, but for peace and relaxation. The owner informed us about the roads, which road to take and which not. Communication was by sms, very easy. The place is equipped for load shedding (sufficient gas and solar facilities). The house (Rapunzel) is half a rondavel and half a square house, very comfortable and charming but don`t expect luxury, instead you will find peace and nature and friendly people in a place that has a lot of charm.
