The small counter used for a table has been removed since the last time we were here which was lovely to have some breakfast overlooking the mountain. I would also recommend a roof over the patio so you can still enjoy being outside if it rains.

We love the views and have been back 3 times now. The hot tub overlooking the mountains is beautiful

Communication could have been better

I would certainly come back here for the view! The cottage was nicely decorated and complete. We enjoyed staying here.

The cabin does not match the overall pictures of the estate. Also, no personal welcome, neither attendance to support on arranging breakfast and diner. At arrival we found out in the brochure that you could order breakfast if done one day prior. Something that is not possible at a 1 night stay

The working farm is situated in a peaceful setting with stunning walks or cycle around on surrounding areas. The mountain views are just exquisite .. Relaxing on the veranda overlooking the landscapes was inspirational and I managed to do some outdoor sketches too The cottage had everything needed. Even for loadshedding, there was backup power and gas cooker. My personal stamp of approval is good plunger coffee and indeed morning coffee was great with the added option of ordering breakfast basket options the day before Our open plan bedroom had a SuperKing size bed and one wake up in the morning , overlooking the mountains. The bathroom had a relaxing bathtub and large shower with beautiful furniture A lovely surprise was the outdoor hot tub (kolkol) tub that can be heated within 1.5 hours with the woodfire supplied Also inside and outside was fireplace , kitted with wood Extra bonus was that they are pet friendly ! Will definitely return! With friends

a beautiful view and a beautiful and tasty delivery of our barbecue meat and tasty vegetables, only had a little problem with lighting the barbecue, we Europeans have a different device, but definitely recommended.

No interaction with hosts. Initially hard to check in. Not electricity until after 2pm, the official check in time.

Beautiful, very private location. Excellent value for money & charming cottage with amazing views. Lovely to be a le to have a real fire, as it would have been chilly without it.

The setting was spectacular! And the house was incredibly charming! While it was more space than we needed, it was great value for money so we booked it. Absolute best decision! And it is just outside of town so the benefit of the beauty, peacefulness & felt very safe! And close to the very charming Montagu & wineries in Robertson. Wish we could have stayed longer! Communication with the host was great!

We loved everything!

A Wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage and scenic surroundings. We felt safe and we were impressed with the cottage and all the attention to detail and comfort. There were rusks provided, luxurious hand wash & body lotion, good quality linen and towels. The heated hot tub outside was the cherry on top after a long day and drive there. We are already planning our next stay here with our family.

What a gem! So wish we had spent a couple of days there and not used it purely as an overnight stop en route to Cape Town. We didn't even get to experience the spectacular scenery and beauty. Loved the Kolkol under the stars and everything was there that we needed. Will highly recommend especially if you are looking for a place to restore your soul.

Roads between houses are a little low for small cars

We self catered and all facilities to make it fantastic were there. Dishwasher for large group was great. Rooms were together but spread enough to be private. The outside verandah with the sheep and bird sounds.

Absolutely nothing about the property, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful little house, with an amazing view of the mountains, vineyards and farm. Very friendly host, great communication and easy access. They have an inverter installed, which was great during loadshedding. Probably our favourite stay for our holiday in the Capetown area.

Far exceeded are expectations. This is a very special place that we enjoyed as a family while driving through from Paternoster for two nights. Beautiful furniture, Spacious and fully equipped. Wonderful view by the pool and only 10 min drive from restaurants in Swellendam if you ever feel you need to leave- simple gorgeous!

This is the most amazing cottage with an outstanding view. The owners are super friendly and helpful and the cottage now offers an invertor which means that lights and the telly can be used during power outages. We’ll definitely be back, thanks so much.

This property is exceptional. The view from the cottage is stunning and the home itself is absolutely incredible. We were sad that we couldn’t stay an extra day;)
