The exceptional service at Jovali begins the minute you book with them. We appreciated how they wanted to know more about our stay in order to make it a wonderful experience. We were provided with a list of recommendations of things that we can do during our stay and Johan even went as far as booking my birthday dinner for us. When we arrived at Jovali we were very warmly welcomed by Johan who showed us around the property and had an amazing chat with us about all the different things we can do in the area. The true magic came when we walked into our studio, my jaw was literally on the floor, pictures really don't do the place justice! The place was immaculate, smelt amazing, soooo clean, fully equipped kitchen, oozes comfort and luxury and has amazing views. We also loved the under floor heating and electric blankets, even though it gets really cold in Clarens we didn't feel a whim of the cold while indoors. I could go on and on! The special touch was definitely the homemade chocolate cupcakes that were left for me with a stunning card for my birthday. I really appreciated that and was so touched by the gesture. I really cant stop singing praises to Johan and his team and I would definitely stay at Jovali again! My husband loved how peaceful and private it was and how the town is literally around the corner. We really had an amazing time!

The welcoming hosts, the beautiful room which was warm due to the underfloor heating (it was a cold winters day), the beautiful view, the amazing attention to detail. Everything that we needed for self catering was provided even down to the coffee pods and delicious muffins for the next morning. It really was exceptional and should have a 10 star rating.

Jovali is set in what can be described as one of the most tranquil and beautiful landscapes in the Clarens area. The accommodation is well equipped with almost everything you can think of. Johan and Tim are always on hand to answer questions on things to do in the area and to ensure our stay was comfortable.

There is nothing we did not like about the property, as it was evident the hosts have given much thought in anticipating their guests’ needs & preferences.

The property is in a tranquil setting, with panoramic views of the Maluti mountains, yet close enough to bustling amenities of Clarens. The studio is luxurious & uber comfortable. The en-suite (full) bathroom had 2 quirky ducks, which we thought was a witty touch.

Gosh, where do I begin….The experience begins from the time you make a booking, the offer to assist with anything and everything to ensure you have an amazing stay, the meticulous attention to detail 👌🏽, from the welcome notes to the little tiny details you discover everyday in the property. The studio was exceptionally stocked with essentials e.g. extra towels in the bathroom, fave towels, umbrellas for in case it rains, charcoal + blitz for the braai, fleece blankets for when sitting outside, rechargeable light for in case of loadshedding

The dirt road leading to the establishment was not bad but could be upgraded

The staff was very friendly and the location was the best, the picturesque mountain view was breathtaking, the studio was very comfortable, they had everything in place and it was clean. I would stay again at that place...very nice and welcoming

Nothing , every detail catered for.

The beautiful mountain views, lovely flower filled garden, the suite's upmarket comfort and decor and wonderful pampering right down to home made rusks, fruit, farm milk supplied during our stay. Even little thoughtful knee rugs were put out for sunset drinks on our own patio. We were so impressed with the excellent attention shown to us and all the helpful suggestions made by Johan and Tim, our gracious hosts and owners of Jovali. What an unforgettable and special stay.
