Nothing to dislike! Anyone who disliked Kambaku is just looking for a freebie.

Everything! The staff are superɓ, friendly and welcoming. Food is excellent, even pandered to my likes and dislikes with no fuss. Stayed in the beautiful Mafunyane and it exceeded all expectations.

Nothing. This was a wonderful place where every need is met and more. - A truly luxurious stay.

This was the most incredible stay. The staff were exceptional and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were huge and so comfy with everything you could possibly need. And the food well it was first class! So tasty delicious and the portions were huge!

Beautiful place! Animals across the river are in full view. Amazing staff, very tasty food. Good selection of wines. Special thanks to our ranger Elvin. Everything was excellent. I definitely highly recommend this lodge to everyone!

There was nothing we didn't like

The stay at Kambaku River Lodge was extremely pleasing. We were a party of three that went for a pampering session in the bush. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble at Kambaku. Miriam and Nomsa that did body scrubs, full body massages and facials as well as OIP gel pedicures were professional and very pleasant to chat to. The breakfasts and dinners delivered to the Homestead were delicious. The boma fires lit by the staff at sunset were the cherry on the top. We saw elephant, buffalo, hippo, water buck and many bird species from the river deck while sipping our cocktails. A truly amazing experience.

Absolutely fantastic place! Lodge room was very comfortable, the view from Kruger across the river was beautiful. Animals come to the property often. Staff was incredible; very efficient, quick to reply, pleasant to be with. Food was otherworldly - every day it was a different surprise and all well made. I couldn’t recommend this place more! It was perfect.

It took about 20 to 30 minutes to drive to the nearest Kruger park gate, Malelane But it is not a big trouble.

We could see some animals like a herd of elephants and hippos from the wonderful garden. Staffs are very friendly and offered generous hospitality. The manager guy was very kind and assisted our first Safari tour experience so much. Dinners were wonderful

You could disturb the neighbours if you enjoy staying up late and chatting/laughing. 😀

The staff bring the meals to enjoy in the comfort of your own patio. The staff are obliging and friendly. Anzelle is outstanding. The fires and candles are lit for you. The view overlooking the crocodile river into the Kruger National Park is spectacular! The animals coming to drink while we sipped wine is surreal! Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!

20 minutes from Melanane gate, ideal for self drive but they also offer guided safaris The rooms are just from another world, extremely clean and spacious, offering privacy in quite an open establishment. The rooms are well designed with a South African taste, private terrace and if you book the right room, a cold plunge The garden and view over the Crocodile river are just something else. You see tracking elephants and hippos, and hear male Lions just roaring during sundown Hospitality was top notch; Dennis, Leanne and the other lady (sorry, forgot your name) do everything to make your stay comfy. Great dinner, freshly made and served by cooks. The dinner announcement drums are a very nice touch. Breakfast packs available if you are going on a morning safari. Would 100% recommend.

If Booking.com would offer to give more than 10 points for super extraordinary lodges than we would give here 12 points. Kambaku River Lodge is for a stay close to the Kruger Park just perfect. We spent 5 beatiful nights with delicious breakfast, dinner and wild animals just passing in front. We recommend also to book Kambakus Safari with most experienced Kruger driver.

Amazing place loved absolutely everything including game drives into Kruger with Elvis who was brilliant. Although from our sunbed we saw hippos and elephants! Only had 2 nights and wish we had had longer. Can’t wait to come back.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed to an immaculate luxury room overlooking the Crocodile River. There is a great deal of attention to detail that made the stay very pleasant. The background of chirping birds and hippos make you feel at one with nature. We especially enjoyed the meals, they are beyond delicious. We had a great time on the game drive, which is worth the early morning start. We also enjoyed a relaxing massage at Dzombo Spa. Overall we had an amazing stay, would definitely go back in a heartbeat!
