The place is wonderful, comfortable and excellent. Please buy all your food before you leave a big town, there is no shops close by. Main bedroom own bathroom, other two bedrooms share bathroom with door in the middle

The property was perfect except that the roads getting there was not the best especially since we traveled through a storm , however leaving there we used an alternate route, be sure to enquire about this with your host, he was great with directions .

The hosts were excellent, everything was clean and the cottage was well equipped. Perfect when taking your pets with you , fully enclosed property so pets were safe.

the roads are a bit rough with potholes but it's a municipal problem to fix. we drove slowly with our sedan but would get a SUV next time.

beautiful accommodation with the most breathtaking views of the mountain and countryside. the host, Richard, was very accommodating and helpful. The owner thought of everything and small touches made the place wonderful to stay in. would definitely recommend for a break from the city.

Braai was too small, I would've preferred a built in braai. Also on first day there was no cleaning of house, I requested housekeeping for 2nd day so it was all good. Also the road to the cottage was terrible, I'd suggest an SUV or vehicle with big tyre's.

Great setting, was nice and quite, far enough from next cottage.

Getting there by road was a pain and took time but is do able as long as upu have patients. Road needs alot of maintenance

The three days flew by...wishing I could spend a lifetime there.

The majestic views and walks with my doggie. The cabin was immaculate with every little luxury you can think of.. Richard was an amazing host...a hardworking individual..I Salute you Sir Kamberg valley hideway is truly amazing.. ... A true gem in the heart of the Drakensberg.. ...i now the meaning of Simon and Garfunkels Sound of Silence....

My wife and I took our 4 dogs. We were blown away with this amazing place. We went in winter time, and enjoyed reading a book next to the fire. Our dogs enjoyed the walks everytime, and we have never experienced our dogs that relaxed. The hosts really try their best to give their guests the best experience ever!! The hosts are amazing people and you can even enjoy a nice chat with them. If you want a place to break away from the hustle of everyday life, and you want to relax, find yourself in nature... I strongly RECOMMEND this place! They are first on our list for a holiday in the winter! Thank you for an amazing time!!!

The gas system in the house was faulty so we found that there was no hot water in the mornings and the stove top didn't work properly which caused for frustration.

it is just the most awesome pet friendly holiday ever. To have no worries and no concern about the welfare of our pets was very comforting. The view is breathtaking. The hosts, Sam and Richard are very comforting and helpfully.

Richard was an amazing host, he organised our 2 outings to Silver Hills and Kamberg Nature Reserve. The cottage was beautiful, quiet, clean and beautifully located, we were able to walk around this magnificent farm, there is a swing bench on the bank of the dam on the property , it hosts an aray of bird life, which was lovely to be able to sit and enjoy We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet getaway.

I cannot think of a single thing to complain about.

Meticulously clean well-equipped cottage. We were in Forest Cottage which had amazing view of the dam and mountains. Beautiful bathrooms and comfortable beds. Slept so well. Excellent hosts - loved the freshly laid free range eggs. Felt at home the minute we entered the cottage.

Just a caution the roads are rough if you in a normal car. Also stock up properly. The nearest shopping area is 40mins away.

Kamberg has everything you need in the cottage. It's equipped with electric blankets for the cold nights, a beautiful fire place with wood provided. You can also buy wood if needed from the owner. The place is very secure and fenced around the cottage which makes it pet friendly. The kitchen is fully equipped with salt and pepper and oil. There are lights provided for load shedding. The shower is huge and the water pressure is absolutely amazing. The bathrooms are clean and beautiful. Outside has a seating area and a braai stand. Gas stoves for load shedding which is a plus. The lounge is very comfortable and there are fire lighters provided. Loved everything about this place!

The views of the mountains were just enchanting. The place was super clean and very central for what I was doing. The host and his wife were very friendly and the house was spacious! Great facilities
