Wow! What a great venue to visit. The decor is amazing with all the art on display everywhere. The wall murals are very good and each one tells a story of each of the themed rooms. Sunny, warm and airy with music playing throughout the hotel. Love the old world charm and feel of the hotel and all the friendly, well-trained and helpful staff and owners.

What a great experience, friendly staff, fantastic food and a unique venue. My daughter loved the Apple and Pear Crumble so much at dinner that she ordered it again at breakfast - and it was served with a smile It is well worth the detour as a memorable stay if you are anywhere in the area.

We had a great stay, it was cold out and they had the fireplaces crackling away. Dinner was excellent, staff were well trained and super friendly. The bar was cozy. Would highly recommend this stop if you are looking for a place in Barrydale.

Centrally situated, beautiful hotel full of art and collectibles. Comfortable room, lounge with roaring fireplace, stunning garden with the pool. Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast in stylish dinning room. Highly recommended.

I wouldn’t take the rooms on the side next to the blues bistro again. The stairs are difficult with a heavy suitcase.I asked for help carrying my suitcase down.When help was not forthcoming, I carried it myself past the receptionist who had originally promised help( she didn’t notice)

It was quaint, elegant, arty. The food was good for a small town hotel.( some out of stock) Staff could have been slightly more visible in inside and outside dining areas( often had to go looking for them)I liked the fires. I liked the bar.I liked the books made available to read.I liked the music.The coffee was good ( super important)The savoury scones were very good.

Wonderful, wonderful decor. Actually the decor takes you back to olden times and the quaintness of the place ensures that you are loving every bit of it. High on cleaniness and accessibility, the staff is helpful, and cheerful. Huge shout-out to the food which was outstanding. Regret not staying longer

Loved our stay at the hotel. Charming, cosy and comfortable. Loved the cosy dining room and fire in the lounge burning all day. Just loved the relaxed atmosphere of the Klein Karoo. Food was lovely and staff friendly!

an absolute beauty of a hotel, so unique and the joy of all the different decor in the rooms. The staff also were so professional and warm and friendly, especially Candice at the front desk. The outdoor facilities are gorgeous too and we had a dip in the pool. The only downside was we only had one night there I would suggest if you're going book 2 or more nights!

Our room was above the kitchen so it was a little noisy in the early morning.

Loved the new refurb - tastefully done, with great art and I loved the big, bold use of wallpaper in the hotel. A big step-up from the hotel's previous incarnation. Our room was impressively big with a huge bathroom.

Our room gave out to the kitchen extractor. Lots of noise and food odeurs in the evening and morning. The room was not really clean.

Excellent service from all the staff especially Gavin. We enjoyed a superb dinner in the restaurant and an after dinner drink at the arty hotel bar. There is also a lovely swimming pool area. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

This is a gorgeous hotel with some of the loveliest hosts. Everything seems effortless, from the excellent breakfasts to the decadent evening meals. The near restaurant, Mez, is an alternative for an evening meal. The bar is a good place to meet similarly interesting people. The artwork on display is eclectic and decorates the hotel beautifully. Lovely garden. Great pool. Nothing not to like.
