Absolute quietness So peaceful I love it.

We were moved from our original booking due to an inverter failure. Unfortunately in the alternative cottage the hot water did not work properly which made showering challenging.

Peace, tranquility and amazing stargazing! The host was very welcoming and friendly. We appreciated the salami and pack of lamb bacon!

It was exceptionally hot and there was only a small fan that was broken when we got there. The linen/towels could have been in slightly better shape. The "private swimming pool" isn't really a pool, its more like a mini watering hole to dip your feet in and was very slimy when we got there (but they immediately sent someone to help clean it out a bit).

It was exactly what I wanted in terms of location - being able to relax on the stoep and see nothing but the expanse of the Karoo around us. The braai area is nicely protected from the wind, and the house is comfortable. The owners are really welcoming and responsive to any questions or issues we had.

Warm shower issue on cold winters morning. Flame of gas geyser shutting off every now and then, even when only the hot tap was open.

The exterior was really messy. Braai area just looked unkept and there were things lying around, looked like a bit of dumping area. It's such a stunning setting, the facilities just need to match. No wood, we had to ask. No ice. - Items I expect at this price point. Loadshedding an obvious issue for all, but by now we need to be geared up with at least a light or two or just ice to have a gold drink after a long day's drive.

The scenery is stunning, and the cottage has a view to die for. The cottage layout is nice and spacious. Kitchen well kitted out. The inside of the cottage was spotless. The owner welcomed us warmly and was lovely to chat to him.

The house is very rustic but if that what is expected it is comfortable.

We enjoyed the peace and security of the farm . we were able to take a short drive to see springbuck and gemsbok. the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Good stopover to rest.

The bed could have been a little more comfortable, but considering the rates charged, the stay was great overall.

Farm stay at its best. Quiet area, away from the freeway, in the Karoo. Beautiful sunset, even more beautiful sun-rise. I went for an early morning cycle around the farm and was joined by one of the resident dogs. Was a great fresh experience. The owner even sacrificed his only bottle of wine for me.

The Karoo gets cold in winter, a fireplace would have been welcomed

Beautiful off the beaten track location, yet not too far from amenities - just 15 minutes to Graaff-Reinet. The cottage that I stayed in was in the game park, so lovely views. Impressed with the off-grid eco-friendly facilities- both electricity and water. And the WiFi was superb!!

.We were 4 guests. No 3 and 4 had to shower in cold water. Fortunately it wasn't winter. Quality of furniture a bit sub standard for the rates. A bit far on gravel road

I thought an initial free supply of wood for a braai could be included . The wood sold was admittedly sold at a good price.

I did like the quiet ,peaceful surroundings. Freedom to go for walks and move around freely is a privilage. Hosts are readily available and helpful.

Old dilapidated flat in the middle of nowhere l?! Where is the advertised swimming pool? No-one to greet/meet us to open the flat and go in... Broken tiles... Dirty curtains... We left and drove another 200 plus km to PE and go stay somewhere else. What a dissapointment!!! We refused to stay there and the place does not deserve a supposed 7.9/8 rating!!

There was no warm water in the morning, but not a problem in summer.

Amazing stay and atmosphere, very friendly owner. There is an amazing viewpoint to enjoy the sunset and the stars. Nice place to stay in the nature.

A lovely location a few kilometres outside of town. Very peaceful and beautiful location. The cottages are comfortable and well appointed. We were very happy to stay there and will do so again.

Double bed needs replacing because it “vallies”. Owners should provide replacement dustbin bags and clean ash from braai daily.

Location is perfect for quiet retreat. Helpful farmer, lent me his compressor to pump bike tyres.
