Location location location and spectacular views.

South African loadshedding was an issue. On booking.com nothing was written about it. Coming to a foreign country to sit in the dark in a big house with sculptures and masks with your kids for 3-4 hours is not a good experience.

A truly exceptional experience. The large, tastefull house and the veranda with direct view on the river — hippos, water bocks and birds — are wonderful. 5 Minutes from Malelane Gate, perfect! Thanks to Rose for the good cleaning.

The layout of the house was a bit strange , possibly as it was old and there may have been add ons..I.e the bbq area was miles from the kitchen. The house is a magnificent building , however it is a bit old and could do with some TLC. The pool was not very inviting, a bit dirty , and old . Even with the above , we had a lovely stay.

Bedroom and shower were lovely , with bedside sockets for phones. Good kitchen utensils and large fridge and freezer. The views to the river and Kruger Park were exceptional and we were visited by a lone Elephant each day

The view of the Crocodile river is wonderful and had some good sightings of hippo, crocodiles and waterbuck. Hlobosile was in constant communication with us and was very helpful.

The kitchen is not comfortable. There is no any care for the guests. We traveled a lot in South Africa and for the first time there was no bottle of water and soap in the bathrooms.

The large house is beautiful and located in a picturesque location.

The place was amazing! Fully kitted out especially considering the price! Animals were seen from along the river daily, and Peter gave us some good advice prior to our arrival.

The house needs some maintenance, but provided everything we needed. Loved it.

Excellent location along the Crocodile River. Accommodation was huge, with ample space for everyone. Very clean and comfortable.

All was perfect

Host Paul was exceptional pleasant and helpful, he was checking with us prior to the arrival explained all with patient, offered help with the city and attraction and was there for us for any requirement. The house was better than we expected very clean and authentic. We had a very good experience. I recommend for all. Will defiantly come back

We didnt find the matrass very confortable to sleep on. It is a very very hard mattress so we couldnt sleep well and we woke up broken but of course what is not good for us it can be confortable for others. Breakfast was a bit poor, I was missing fruits.

The villa is huge and very nicely decorated (on the pictures on booking it looks a bit dark and old however we were very pleasantly surprised), location is perfect. We enjoyed our stay in this villa (except the mattress in the bedroom). I would sure recommend this lodge, you sure can get unforgetable experiences from the view to the other side of the river.

After doing a trip to Kruger we stayed here for 3 days. The most frustrating part of a safari was being in the car all the time. The best part about this place was that you can sit outside and your pretty much in the park. We had elephants right in front of us as well as hippos and other animals. So it really gave me the experience I wanted. The decor isn't really to my taste but could be deemed traditional African and the outdoor space to sit and eat was great. Peter is a great host and certainly went above and beyond what was expected. Being in the south of the park it was great for Rhinos and some of the other hard-to-spot animals. Certainly worth staying here a few days during your trip.

Beautiful view over the Crocodile river into Kruger National Park. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the company of a big bull elephant that waded across the river and came and stood within touching distance from the viewing deck.

Unfortunately the aircon did not work in the bedroom and there was no fan, at 30 degrees, was awful, the toilet was broken, no acceptable.
