The showers left untidy & the toilets not cleaned timeously. I cleaned up myself as well as our room.

The confirmation email could be more clear about where to check in, at the guesthouse next door. We were also lucky to get the best containers around the little lounge area

What a great find. You need to check in at the guesthouse nextdoor, i think its called the Farmhouse, that took us a bit of figuring out because the email wasn't clear. Once we realised that it was all brilliant. The check in person was warm and friendly and walked us to our accomodation, unlocked for us and explained where things were, she was super helpful and friwndly. We were very lucky to get one of the 3 places that ha e a shared garden area, delightful with deck chairs, braai, and slightly quirky design. This overlooks the lagoon with great views. The container accomodation was bright and clean, good quality white linen, great layout so it felt spacious, half an hour of generator during loadshedding at 10pm which was helpful to get my phone charged. The loos and showers are very clean, with white hand towels and soap, cleaned daily. All in all a great experience for a really low rate. Thank you! PS. Definately take a walk along the boardwalk infront of the property towards Sharks Bay, the views are stunning.

We had a bit of issues with our door that wasn’t locking but eventually they managed to fix it and we also had issues on where to leave the keys in the morning cause they didn’t give us the code of the main gate of where we were suppose to drop them.

The first pod I checked into, there was an issue with the lock on the door. But luckily they were able to move me to another pod while they repaired the other lock.

Location is wonderful. Close to running/ biking trails. Near Shark Bay. Great spots for swimming and any other activity you might want to do.

The only negative is the container door of the room does bang a bit in the wind, but after two hours your mind completely tunes it out.

This is a great spot if you're just popping in solo or with a friend and looking for a place to leave your belongings and cool your beers while you explore. The room has everything you need to live comfortably for a few days, the toilets and shower cubicles are clean and you have a view of the lagoon on your doorstep. Location is excellent as you are a five-minute drive from either the waterfront area with a variety of eateries that are extremely well priced, or the entrance to the National Park. Will definitely be my go-to spot to stay when I visit that side again.

Generator is a little noisy when running

Incredible value for money! The cabins are basic but clean, spacious and pretty well equipped with cooking facilities and a fridge. The communal shower and toilet facilities are also good. A decent location slightly out of town but with a great view. The restaurant at the Farmhouse next door was also excellent and the staff were all friendly and polite.

Can get cold at night, but there is a heater.

Convenient to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas. Not far from the West Coast National Park, and the West Coast Fossil Park. Paternoster, St. Helina, Velddrif, Saldana and other interesting places are not far. Safe parking and clean and tidy, well maintained. Staff was friendly. Lovely views. In the early morning, the mist rolls in.

Sometimes the traffic could be a little noisy, but that is definitely not the venue's fault. Maybe a little bedlamp next to the bed would be a good idea to enable reading at night.

Everything was exactly as the photos showed. It was compact yet comfortable. I really enjoyed the view, and was able to relax under the shaded grass area. The fact that the excellent hotel restaurant, bar and swimming pool were just next door was an extra bonus.

It is very cold in winter, with condensation drops falling from the roof, but the staff gave use extra blankets, so the 2nd night was much better.

We stayed at the basecamp pods and really enjoyed our stay. Service was top notch, the place comfortable. it is centrally located and has a great view on the laguna. We enjoyed as well our evening at the pub - warm athmosphere... Will definitely come back.

All good. Some people might complain about the noisy generator. It is there to combat load-shedding. They do switch it off at night.

The floor carpet is removed and use an easy to clean surface.

Value for money and the facilities and the whole set up. It was lovely to be able check late and take a shower after the marathon.

I stayed there for about a week last year. The only thing was the noise of the generator by the gate which was always on. But the night I stayed, the generator tuned off completely at the end of loadshedding, and wasn't even in the idling mode. Nice and quiet. I wish I could have stayed longer.
