The location isn't quite as central as anticipated, but we had a car, so could access things easily with that.

This was a great stay for our time in Knysna. Breakfast was great, it wasn't too busy, and there was a guide book with some great recommendations. Very comfortable and secure.

One of the few places with no back-up power at all, not even wifi. Not a major issue for us given the planned load shedding event but not all might agree with that ;-)

Nice and well kept guesthouse at a conveniet location near to the center of Knysna. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good. Value for money is excellent!

The driveway is on a steep slope, but not an issue for our 3 cars.

The reception was efficient in allocating rooms to the 12 of us. The rooms were super clean and beds were very comfortable. Bkf was superb, huge portions of hot foods with fruit, cold cuts, cheese and cereal buffet. Coffee was nice too. Staff were lovely and cheery. Totally recommended.

Was great start to end

Pelican room had ample size for 3 people. Very comfortable and great view. Very near N2 so easy access from other towns.

The breakfast and checkout times are too early. The normal times are usually from 06:30 to 10:30 for breakfast and checkout is 11:30 to 12:00 Not 06:30 to 09:00 and checkout at 10:00 After all we were on holiday.

Maria and staff made this an awesome experience. They were all so friendly and helpful. The best breakfast I have had in a long time. The omelette was exceptional. This will from now on be my go to place to stay in Knysna.

The toilet seemed to struggle with flushing. And the other guests were extremely loud at night. I suppose that’s not your problem but the room next to us was a supply closet and it’s door kept being slammed.

The breakfast was delicious, the bed was super comfortable for a good nights sleep and the shower was amazing!

Not much to complain about actually. Maybe the size of the room could have been a little bigger (the bathroom is pretty big though, so bathroom lovers won't have anything to complain about)

Staff was very courteous. Maria is a sweetheart and greets you with such warm energy that you instantly feel at ease. She also went out of her way to allow us to keep our bags safe post checkout when we wanted to roam around town. The breakfast was fantastic. South Africa's best bacon is served here :) The room had all the amenities one can expect, along with a spacious balcony with a splendid view. The location is superb - just 8-10 min away from Thesen, Leisure, East Heads and so on.

The AC was not working. During loadshedding there is no WiFi, for us not a problem at all because we were out all the time.

Lovely welcoming after a long drive. The rooms are really nice, modern and clean. The breakfast is very good, many thing you can choose. And the pool area is lovely as well. We would’ve loved to stay a bit longer.

the staff very friendly and the best breakfast i can remember. enjoyed talking to everyone and the place tucked away in a beautiful scenary. Everyone friendly staff and guests breakfast has a nice (lekker) selection of choices (fresh fruit salad, juices, coffee from and didn't know about the hot meal with eggs prepared your way, mushrooms oh so so good, bacon, toast and a friendly smile) also the property has a strong gate and feel very secure

A trash bin in the room itself would be nice, and a bottle opener in the room might be a nice addition.

The breakfast was fantastic! Loved my omelette. 🤩 The Orange Inn is in a convenient location. We enjoyed our stay! The staff were very friendly! :)

The front parking was a bit tricky to negotiate.

We had a wonderful stsy for 2 nights. The staff were kind and very, pleasnt. Very secure and quiet. After we left I reslised we should have written in their c3vomments book, so i hope they get to see this. thank you for a lovely, comfortable stay.

My only complain was that the shower water didn't get hot even after I had left it to run for ages.

As the Orange Inn was cheaper than the other places we had stayed on the trip I was a little apprehensive. However I was very impressed with everything. The attention to detail in the decor eg diffuser and tissues in the bathroom was amazing. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess was really welcoming. Definitely the best value for money on our whole trip. Highly recommended.
