Beautiful surrounding nature. Aircon in rooms is a big plus. Definitely recommend going for a drive on the farm if you enjoy nature.

This was a great 2 night break of journey from Cape Town to Joburg. The camp is a lovely green oasis in the Karoo. A good range of game comes to the camp in afternoon and overnight. From our chalet or patio we saw impala, a warthog, kudu and a range of birds, just 10 metres away. When we woke up in the morning several giraffe were already breakfasting on nearby (approx 25m) green foliage -photos and videos available if you move slowly and quietly. It's a great place for a braai and there is a bar available if required.

The huts are situated on a beautiful green meadow. They are simple but well equipped. At night, various animals came to graze (giraffes, antelopes, an aardvark). You can hike and also drive through the area by car (4x4 is recommended). Our children were thrilled by the large tortoises running around everywhere. Keep doors closed because of the baboons that live behind the huts on the mountain. We had a wonderful time! Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Personally I am not fussy and found nothing wrong with the property, however, I know that my mom would’ve been unable to sleep on the beds that have sunk in. Room 2. I am young and supple though. I would love to show my mom the venue, but her back wouldn’t be happy. Other than that I’m unhappy that the property is so far away from my home, making it hard to visit more frequently ;)

I loved the property, the peacefulness, the polite staff and receptionist. The views and trails were exceptional. I enjoyed the premade meals and the chicken susaties.

Just a question: Why was the rate for chalet 1 more expensive than Chalet 2 ? They looked identical to me.

The facilities. Green grass. Braai facility, Pool, Pub, Animals as we drove out. Will be back soon

We put the mattresses of our sons on the floor eventually because it was quite hot on the top floor. But they loved that as well so wasn’t a problem.

Exceeded our expectations. Very well maintained, really kind staff. Chalets nicely decorated and practical amenities. Lovely pool area with towels provided. Great braai areas, both at the chalets or for bigger groups. Saw quite some animals and did a nice (bumpy!) ride to the Dam Lookout. Kids (4&5 years) loved it!

Could not really find fault with anything. My wife says it maybe needs an oven.

Immaculately clean, everything new. I think the unit we had was added recently. Have stayed here before, it was even better than I remembered. The management were extremely welcoming and friendly. Next time it won’t be an overnight stay, I will definitely add on a night or two. One of the nicest things is the location. In the mountains away from the highway, absolute peace and tranquility.

There was a menu list of food they have, we ordered 2 loin chops and it was not what we expected, the portions was small and even when they wanted to replace it ,it was still small.it was expected of us to braai the chops yourself. we bought something at OK foods(Very good) in Beaufort West and came back and found out there was no braai equipment in the chalet to braai the meat we had. If you do go here, bring your own food and drinks in advance from the shop or even braai equipment. The prices can get expensive as you are paying for comfortability not to drive out of the facility.

The animals you could see, the privacy, the location, how far our chalet was near the pool. the bar, that they work on a trust system and you get your drinks and just say how much you took to create a tab and pay at the end of your stay.

It was lovely to enjoy the peace of a bush lodge. The area surrounding the cottages was well maintained and the facilities very good. The lodge is open to the nature reserve so saw giraffe, warthog and impala close to our unit. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful.
