How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We loved everything but as a suggestion, it would be nice to have a sharp knife or two available.
The breakfast was substantial and delicously prepared according to our liking. Heidie served it in our room which was an even bigger bonus. She is super friendly and helpful and any request we had was met with a no problem, happy to help attititude. Would hihgly recommend this property as a stay. We attended a conference at Emperor's Palance and it was less than 10 min from the venue. The room was very comfy, a gas heater was provided as it was really cold and the place is very neat and tidy. Helpful that there is secure parking too. Area is quiet and peaceful.

Being close to the airport it is normal to hear the planes. But they don't bother me. First of all, it's not a continuous coming and going, but hearing the roar of the engine reminds me of the adrenaline of setting off! But I understand that for some it may not be so.
Heidie is an amazing host. Always smiling and available. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the photos and there is everything you need to prepare a dinner on your own (microwave, kettle, stove, basic crockery). There is a television with Netflix right in front of the bed. The bathroom has a nice spacious shower. The apartment overlooks a small garden with swimming pool, enlivened by the song of various birds. Clean, spacious, everything you need is there! Heidie prepares a delicious breakfast, making sure we like.

Very nice host. Spacious room. Close to the airport (10 minutes) but very quiet. Pool directly in front of the room. And the place is solar powered! Great advantage 👍

Nothing to dislike. We were a bit nervous about the noise from the airport given that we were very close to it. But we weren’t disturbed by it at all and slept very well.
We needed a bed for a stopover and found a spacious and very comfortable room with an extremely helpful, accommodating and lovely owner . The bed was very comfy, the shower great, the outdoor terrace and pool (even though we didn’t actually dive in) really nice and the breakfast delicious. Most importantly for us was that the owner welcomed us at midnight. Our flight arrived late and when we finally received our rental car, it was close to midnight. Fortunately the BnB is only a short drive from the airport but it was still late when we got to the place, only to find the landlady waiting for us. Baaie dankie, Heidie!

The owner was friendly and great even in giving us the advice as to where we could get dinner as we hadn't arranged to have dinner on time at the bnb otherwise she would have been happy to cook dinner for us if we had arranged on time

All amenities available for a traveler’s weekend away. Breakfast was superb. Mini kitchen with the extra treats was a bonus. Spacious unit with the Lovely private patio made this stay luxurious.

Room was clean, staff very friendly. We didn't stay for our breakfast that was included and the owner made us bacon and egg toastie for the road. As we where travling back to Durban. Was a amazing surprise. Thank you will definitely be back.

Only the fact that it has no kitchen itself. But Heidie provides a delicious breakfast and some tea/coffee. Also they have a bbq you can use on the terrace and it’s really nice
This place is perfect if you need to sleep close to the airport but feel home vibes at the same time. The room is really spacious and confortable and the terrace is perfect for warm and sunny days. Also Heidie is a really good host! Kind and available for everything you could need. Would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for everything!!

The location was perfect for an early morning flight. The room was clean and comfortable, but the best thing about it was Heidie! She was the sweetest hostess we had on our whole trip. She went out of her way to make our stay perfect. I can’t recommend this place to stay enough.

I liked everything about it!
Everything! It was easy to find, safe and very comfortable. Nice and clean. Big shower and plenty of space. The owners was very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast, especially the omelette was the best I’ve ever had. Will recommend this guest house to any one.

They need a board on the gate advertising the business, but as I understand it that is in hand.
Heidi was a superb host. I had a very early flight and she provided a lovely breakfast at 4:30 in the morning. I could not get a local Taxi arranged so she drove me to the airport. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her to make the stay enjoyable. It was a pity I was not there longer I will certainly stay there again.
