Just 2 small problems with the tent - the shower door didn't close properly and the hot water sink tap wasn't working properly. Google maps takes you to the wrong gate which is dead end and very muddy! Follow the signs to Redstone private country estate .

Absolutely stunning location . We had the tent which was simple but well designed and we had a beautiful view of the dam. We only saw 1 member of staff( can't member his name) , but he was lovely, very friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend this place.

It would have been helpful to have more detailed instructions on how to get to the property. We were told to not follow Google maps because of construction. The directions were clear until after you entered the first property gate where we were instructed to get directions from the gate guard. The gate guard instructions were “go up, up”. We may have been fine had we not arrived after dark. Or had we had distances or a map or even warning on the poor quality of the entrance road. But I totally thought we were driving off into nowhere until we would come across a sign with the business name. It would also have been helpful to have been given the gate codes to enter and exit the property gate. Thankfully I had enough signal to send a WhatsApp call.

I felt that it was overpriced for what we got. It was a long and uphill walk to get to the cabin. I felt that the cabin was underequipped. there should have been a fridge and some form of kitchenette, given the distance the cabin is from the hotel area. A cupboard in the bedroom would have been useful. The basin was just that, no shelf on the sides. The rooms were large and could have accommodated much more. There were no pictures on the walls. It was a bit under furnished. The breakfast was really a disappointment. It was simply a fried English greasy breakfast. I expected for the price a bit more.

The views were stunning and the pool area a pleasure to spend time at. Service was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Staff accommodated requests where they could. Spacious room.

The only negative was on Friday we had a spa morning booked at 9 where we needed to be there 15 mins before. Breakfast should have been at 8 but they said the chef was late so our breakfast only came at 08;45 so I had to leave most of mine as there was no time.

Very nice and peaceful. Great having the restaurant on site as you could just park up and stay there.

I didn’t like the bed, it was not comfortable. It seemed to have been used so much, it was falling inside in the mid area.

I loved the breakfast, it was delicious. The place was clean and the staff is so welcoming. I’d give the place an 8.5/10

The breakfast, they must give us alternatives, we can't be eating English breakfast everyday, there's no fruits, cereals or even different drinks like your juice, it's always orange juice with an extra small glass.

Reaching the lodge is a bit tricky because of the dirt roads. We’re very lucky it didn’t rain when we went. I can imagine it makes it even more difficult, especially with small cars. I think the cleaning of rooms could be improved a bit more too. We never had towels changed in the 4 days we were there and we noticed some dirt left over under the bed from previous guests (flower petals etc.) and our dirty glasses weren’t removed from the room over the 4 days we were there. Other than that it was comfortable and clean enough.

The restaurant is great, as are the staff. The pool facilities are great too. It’s very tranquil there and the views are amazing.

The unit we stayed in was quite far and it was a tough walk up every time. Luckily my partner and I weren't too unfit and we managed, but I think it should be communicated more explicitly to future guests.

It was my partner's birthday weekend, so I requester a lot of special arrangements and extras. The staff was amazing in delivering, and always with a smile.

The cleaning staff forgot to replace used items such as soap, shower cap, shampoo etc, which was odd.

We were celebrating our anniversary and upon arrival, we had a romantic dinner set up. The staff were excellent. The view was breathtaking. We went nowhere all weekend and just lounged by the pool and in the hot tub. There was a great selection of meals. I would highly recommend the fresh water fish and the pizza. The desserts were also imaginative and the peppermint Cannoli was good value for money.

The bed was very uncomfortable, the aircon in our room didn’t work properly and neither did the standing fan making it unbearable in the heat.
