As safe as we felt, there is a door by the kitchenette that seems to lead to another room? (we heard a voice) and it would have been amazing to be able to latch that door so we knew it couldn't be opened while we were sleeping. There was also one cold tap that didn't work in the toilet bathroom and the hot water gets hot fast - those are the only things I'd suggest are improved.

The hosts sent a video explaining how to self-check in and allowed us to arrive a little earlier than expected. everything was ready for us, easy to find, and we felt welcomed immediately. The property is gorgeous, it's comfy, and it fits 4 of us for a girl's weekend perfectly. The ceilings were a bit low in the corners but sitting on the couch and looking over the rose bushes was a lovely way to spend the weekend. We loved the quiet of the farm, with easy access to Franschhoek, and Elzanne truly went out of her way to make us comfortable. The hot water was also perfect for all 4 of us - we expected some cold showers for the last person but it re-heats nice and quickly, which is great. As an all-girl group we also felt perfectly safe, hearing the family in the yard and knowing there were other people around in case of emergencies - and the little dog Elvis was a brilliant host as well ;) We didn't get to explore the farm much, but we will be back.

We arrived on a super hot day. Granted, we were much earlier than initially planned and didn't expect to book in at that time. We were just trying to establish the lay of the land in relation to activities planned . From reviews we established that the hostess was on another level of availability but we never saw her and response to messages were long. I am assuming that circumstances might have changed in the meantime for her. There was a problem with one of the aircons which we reported and once we were told there was a fan in the second bedroom we could use it was a bit less uncomfortable. I think the accomodation is more suited to someone just needing a place to sleep. There are beautiful lawns surrounding the property if a bench/table could be set up so that the outdoors can also be appreciated it would add value to the stay. It is just my opinion that the establishment is more suited to the younger generation.

The bed was exceptionally high and I basically had to use the scatter cushions to get onto the bed but I can't complain about the actual mattress, had a super comfy sleep. Having said all that I am only 1.46cms

The location is stunning, nestled between Paarl and Franschhoek on a hillside. The quiet, it is a working farm but there is no noise in the house. Bonus: the building you stay in was built in 1694 but it is beautifully and comfortably furnished.

I didn't like leaving, Le Arc Manor was a home away from home.

The apartment was very spacious which my 3 kids and I enjoyed. The setting: inbetween mountains was breathtakingly beautiful. Well kept property and grounds. The host, Elzanne, was warm and considerate....thank you for the electric blankets and the generator at loadshedding was a blessing.

You should allow a ten minute drive to reach the centre of Franschoek. As the apartment is built into the roof of the farmhouse, tall people might have to stoop in the corridor connecting the rooms to avoid hitting their head on the sloping roof.

Our host, Elzanne, was very friendly, courteous and helpful. The 19th century Dutch farm was full of character and in excellent condition having been recently renovated. Being out of town, we were reassured by the security afforded by the substantial fencing and gates around the property.

The hospitality and accommodating attitude of the host was great. Breakfast was not a practical option for us due to the nature of our work being conducted in the area so no reflection on the host. Ease of access and communication regarding arrangements by the host was exceptional. The free WiFi was a bonus as we needed to use internet based programs for mapping our work and editing drone footage.
