The cleanliness of the place is very awesome. The host is very friendly & Accommodative. The view, sounds of birds in the morning & the braai area with pool. I would recommend it and we definitely coming back in November.

The welcoming was quite impressive. Constant communication was kept, to ensure that we are assured of the retreat’s expectancy of us on the day that we checked in. And upon arrival, the stuff had a warm welcome for us and our unit was ready to be occupied. 🙂

Everything was lovely (please read my numerous compliments in the next section). Nothing wrong, but the only thing that was not in line with our personal taste was the ornaments of the one unit (from a religious perspective). However, one does not focus on interior decorating when surrounded by the most amazing views.

Our unit had the most amazing views from the lounge, the verandah and the braai area. No buildings in sight... beautiful mountains, trees...So quiet and peaceful. A wonderful place to get close to nature. The host, Zain, went out of his way for us. Swopped our son's unit to be closer to us. He helped us with every additional request. Lent us his Uno playing cards. Our son's unit was a lovely family unit which had everything you can possibly need. Gladys, the service assistant, was extremely kind, helpful and friendly. We left some belongings behind and Zain contacted us swiftly which enabled us to turn around to collect it. Gladys waited for us and ran to collect the items for us - we did not even have to get out of the car. Thank you so much for everything.

Could not shower or use toilet without looking at farmworkers through the windows with NO curtains or blinds ... so we made turns in standing in front of window so the other can shower or use toilet. The towels was SO dirty wr used our pajamas as facecloths to dry ourselves. The living quarters was stuffy, full of dust and spiderwebs. Not even to mention the horrid road we had to use to get there. Stayed on night and left.

The accommodation was a very long way from the main road, down a very, very uneven track. It would have been useful to have more crockery as there were only exact numbers of four plates, four bowls etc. The cottage would benefit from a little tlc.

The place was really dirty and a bad smell in the room . The bin was full of balls of hair I have no idea from what .the room service staff only swept where you can see but could still feel the dust particles on the sheets We had to rewash the towels provided ourselves , To get rid of the musty smell .. To our surprise the cleaner saw the washed towels and did not bother to ask what is happening instead she brought more dirty towels We decided to spend more time off property really

The road getting into the place is not good for small cars.

The unit could do with a sink. The bed was unfortunately disastrous. The headboard is loose and makes loud noises whe you make any movement.

The host was great - she attended to our requests promptly. The pool area was the highlight of our stay.

We would have preferred a unit with a shower, but once I fixed the hand-shower nozzle we were able to shower quite easily. Getting in and out of a bath for the elderly poses too many challenges.

The location once reached was idyllic, but the road is a bit bone-jarring for my wife with a neck problem. Whilst a challenge, it would not deter us from returning as the potential is fantastic.

The road to the units is terrible. The space of our unit was a bit unconventional. And the pool was very cold even though it was 31 degrees outside. There was a late night disturbance caused by one of the living residents as well.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The area was beautiful, and the dogs were playful.

I painstakingly research accommodation for weekends away, as it is important to us that we are away from people and close to nature. I thought we had found that unit and booked months in advance. Just to find out when we arrived that our unit had been given away with no warning and we had to share close quarters with others. I have no issue with rustic accommodation when it is secluded but I could have found much more modern accommodation similar to what we were given at that price. I understand the business decision to put a long-term customer in our actual unit, but was unhappy to only find out when we arrived, on a marathon weekend when all accommodation in the area was fully booked. I would have appreciated pre warning and therefore an option to find something else. The unit we were given was right next to where the dogs sleep and they not only barked through the night but also jumped up and scratched the car doors.

The place is secluded and quiet, Just what i was looking for. And there's alot to do around also if you willing to drive around. Overall it was a great stay. I also got a room upgrade at no extra cost.🙂

Zane offline when i called for help. Electricity problems all 3 nights. Woken on Sat morning at 5:30 am. Guy below having a party in his car. Doors wide open and music blaring really loudly. There is a burning dump approx 20 m from the unit(s). Smell of smoke!

The road is horrible. No braai at the unit as advertised. When we enquired, it was said we can drive or walk the 100m to the communal braai area. We especially picked this place because it was advertised that every unit has it's own braai. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and almost no water pressure. The shower did not seem very clean. Place to hang your clothes. We only stayed the one night and rather went home the next day, because of the road and facilities.

There were no signboard at the entrance from the R40 indicating we had to turn left into the gravel road to Leopard Tree Retreat and the boards could have been bigger so that you could reach your destination easily, especially at night. The open shower - no door, no privacy. The trees in front of the balcony so that you could not see the beautiful mountains. The gravel road was at some places horrific. The dog that barked the first night until after midnight was frustrating. You could consider carpets in the bedrooms.

The beds were very comfortable and there were sufficient cupboards, packing space. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony - it was very comfortable to sit there and have a chat with the family who slept in the room next door. The braai on the balcony was a winner!

The steps leading to the loft are too stiff, hot water was an issue, I had no electricity but the other accommodations had, the stove also was a problem, and the tv with Netflix has an issue.

The view was wonderful. The place is located in a wonderful place.

The were no hangers on the walldrope, no comfortable chairs. No facilities to bath like soap and lotions
