Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThe price on site, is without vat. So do not look at the price as your final payable amount. The parking is extra, no choice, so make sure that you have an additional R 450 and a dep of R 1000 when you book. The parking was just indicated as available parking and not that you must pay the R 450. The host never met or seen, was a bit annoying with SMS messages and even a call, demanding the deposit and parking to be paid immediately. I waited for the deposit to be paid back 4 days, but that was communicated. I also felt like a criminal staying illegally in someone's home. I will never return! Again the SMS messages were annoying even during the stay.

South AfricaBeware of the additional charges for parking. After booking you will be forced to pay R150/day for parking. This raises the advertised rate by R150/day making the apartment not worth the price being asked. WiFi did work and owner did not provide the password after being requested.

South AfricaVery disappointing. The property is self owned there’s stains on the couch parking is free but the owner wanted 1300 deposit. R150 a day for parking which comes free per unit. The apartment is not well taken care off as the floors were dirty the stove is covered with tape one-side, oven heating help is bent the couch is old and sunken, the bed is hard like a rock, wooden furniture is chipped. Extractor light and fan does not work No proper cutlery to cook as it’s self catering. No Wi-Fi. Not taken off Mismatched dining chairs. Noisy. Aircon has a thick layer of dust. Washing machine is old and yellow. All old things for eg the fridge handles are yellow
