We had the most exceptional experience staying at Limpopo Bushveld Retreat. Madre and Hendrick were the most attentive and wonderful hosts, considering our every need. The luxury tents were comfortable, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The game drive was a fascinating look into the world of farming wildlife. We couldn't recommend it more strongly.

This requires some drive on agravel road to access the private reserve but that's definitely worth the deal. The place is great, a large private reserve with lots of animals (plain game) where you can freely walk around. We stayed in a large chalet nicely setup and cosy, clean and provided with all the needed. The chalet is solar powered (you won't even thing about load shedding) and water is provided by a borehole.. We had our braai but we had to kill the fire quick due to strong winds (that very evening PTA got hit by an exceptional storm)... but we enjoyed the kindness of the owners ad much as the quietness of the place and all the plain game roaming around us. Thanks to them. I highly recommand that place if you love your own privacy and the bush.

Madre and Hendrik are amazing hosts. Madre is always available and so helpful. They took our family on a game drive themselves, which was amazing. The tents are clean, beds very comfy and linen excellent. We all had a fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend to anyone.

We loved the glamping tent and the attached kitchen and fire place. There was a beautifull open view with a giraf next to the tent in the morning. There was a mistake with the booking but when we arrived the owners where so nice and helped us out. We had the opportunity to stay in the glamping tent which is fantastic and has everything you need. It is clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is a real plus and the fire place area is a dream. We loved it out here. People are very nice and helpfull.

Trying to get in contact was a mission. When I got there, I understood why and appreciated the limited reception because it made us feel as if we were really in the middle of nowhere. As soon as communication was established, Madre' was friendly and very helpful.

The cottage was immaculate. It was quiet and private. The scenery was awesome and there was such a lot to do and see. We enjoyed the pool and the Putt Putt. We enjoyed the outside shower.

It is such a peaceful environment and the kids had plenty to do and keep them busy. Madre was such an amazing host and so accommodating. Joe was so wonderful with the kids on the game drive. Absolutely worth it!

The tent was very nice and the kitchen was well equipped. The hosts (Hendrik and Madrè) went above and beyond to meet our needs - they sorted out a problem caused by extremely heavy rain and gave us a bottle of wine and a self-grown watermelon as gifts. The free fire wood was also a plus. The tents are quite far apart so as to provide privacy and a feeling of seclusion amongst the other guests. The tents, lodges and campsite were fully booked, yet it felt like there were only a few guests on the reserve. There is quite a nice array of wildlife and some even came quite close to the tents. Some game can be spotted during private game drives, but Hendrik showed as a lot more in neighbouring camps during an actual game drive. We will definitely visit again.

We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids. Would be nice to have 2 extra chairs for the kids at the dining table and also by the fire pit. If someone could clean the fire pit everyday that would be helpful.

The facilities are well kept and comfortable. Very neat and clean. The beds are comfortable and the unit was stocked with everything we need.
