Although we were lucky with the weather and it wasn’t too hot, I would have liked to have had an air conditioner. A fan was provided but I would not go there in the height of summer without an air conditioner

We came to escape the city by staying in between the mountains. It was more than we expected. We had the best time of our lives with exceptional service. I highly recommend this venue for a detox from the concrete jungle.

The WiFi is slow and keeps disconnecting

Rooms are big, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bath and steam shower are a lovely feature. The garden is lovely with 2 swimming pools to choose from.

The plastic sliding. bathroom door was very noisy and loud.

It was self catering accommodation. It was relaxing and refreshing. The serene environment had a calming effect on us and the exposure to and appreciation of nature filled our inner-self. It gave us a chance to look afresh to a new perspective of life.

Darlene is a fabulous host, very warm and friendly. The accommodation was lovely, including two pools and fabulous views over the vineyards. I would highly recommend the hotsprings which are just around the corner!

My stay was too short!

Little Sanctuary is a gem of note, and I wish I could have had more time there. I'm already planning another visit! Apart from being situated in such tranquil, soul refreshing surroundings, Little Sanctuary is beautifully and tastefully appointed, and it was a complete pleasure to stay there.

We liked everything!

Montagu Little Sanctuary is a beautiful gem in the little hot springs valley north of Montagu. Darlene is to be congratulated for offering an oasis of calm for a relaxing holiday with stunning gardens and pools. The room facilities are great for self-catering and the patio is a delight for bird watchers. You can also enjoy reduced price access to Avalon Springs next door.

Fans only no aircon in the 36 degree heat when we stayed. Can be forgiven cos the hot season is short and place seems designed for cosy cooler temps

We stayed in 'the eagles nest', lovely situated. Darlene was a lovely host who gave us a lot of information about Montagu. The property has an ancient feel to it, in a good way. Two pools with stunning views. Enough opportunities for breakfast, lunch or dinner in Montagu. We did a hike, and even though we couldn't complete it because of previous flooding, we enjoyed it a lot. We had two days in Montagu, for us that was enough to have a wonderfull time.
