Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaDriveway getting to the apartment is steep but nothing we couldn't live with, given the fact that the apartment is so gorgeous.
This, is by far the best apartment I have stayed at, in Umhlanga. Stunning!!! Hosts were friendly, wonderful and so responsive, even when I called at 1am with an issue, they answered the phone. Decor is just. . . WOW! Attention to detail was phenomenal. Location is convenient. Apartment is spacious with 2 balconies and a partial but beautiful ocean view. Beds were comfortable, linen and towels were of great quality. Kirsty and Travis: You guys are AMAZING and I am looking forward to coming back soon.

South AfricaThere wa no extra towels or toilet roll so I had to buy even though the place has these noted as items provided. The iron was in a bad condition and made it difficult to iron. Some instructions should be in the house on how the lights, stove etc works. The parking wa outside and difficult to get in and out of.
It was easy access to property and it had most of what was needed. Communication was easy with the hosts. The place was clean and in an ideal location. The place was spacious and comfortable
