A proper stove with an oven will be a plus. No animal sightings - even just buffalo and giraffe would have been good.

Kitchen was a bit of a challenge to work with the stove provided sometimes didn’t work. Also there is no signal or WiFi provided so it was a challenge to contact family to say we are safe etc.

Very relaxing and animals around the property was quite nice to see.

The location of our unit was perfect as we had numerous wildlife visitors on our doorstep which was pleasant and entertaining. Perfect place to getaway and relax,have recommended this lodge to many of our friends and will definitely be back.

No network signal. No proper restaurant that stays open till late night. The shop were very expensive.

The cleaning service in the apartment was bad and they didn't even make up the beds or clean decently. The crockery and glasses gad chips and cracks in them and need replacing. The fridge door handle is loose and needs fixing. We had no hot water to shower on Thursday and Friday mornings. In the lapa coals were not removed in the morning or swept clean.

It was a wonderful breakaway and very easy to get there. The roads in Mabalingwe were good and we really enjoyed sight seeing and game viewing. The facilities were top class and still provided privacy from apartment to apartment. The animals around the apartments were entertaining but not invasive. Luckily, the monkeys were seen but did not bother us. The safari vehicle drivers also pointed out where we could see animals further along. The Karoo Oasis was a great experience and the singing barman was excellent and entertaining.

The pIace needs maintenance as the taps in the bathroom and kitchen was lose.

The breakfast was so delicious and the location was good. It was great to see the animals. There were lots of activities to do.

We were disappointed in the bedding as our blanket that was thrown over the bed had three holes in it as well as the fleece blankets. Looks like the one fleece blanket was burnt a hole in it with an iron. Some of the cutlery in the kitchen was still dirty when we took it out to use.

The restaurant’s food are excellent and not expensive. I loved the hot stone full body massage at Mbali spa. This is a lovely place to visit for a quick vacation.

Our night game drive on Wednesday night there was people on the drive that we heard went on a game drive before and myself and my husband it was the first for us as well as another husband and wife. We were trying to take photo's but could not. The other people and the driver were talking and laughing and the one lady wanted to look at the stars. We stopped to look at he mommy rhino and her baby but she was not interested in the rhinos only wanted to look at stars. I feel that give other people also a change to get the experience of a night drive.

We like everything. We just feel like there could be a more variety of things to buy in the coffee shop to take home. We wanted to buy small things for our children but couldn't find anything in the shop. But we loved our stay and will go there again.
