Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaThere were non of the additionals advertised (bottle water etc). There was a single bottle of handlotion and a single bottle of hair/body wash. When making my reservation I was not informed that they where having a "Pool Party". The receptionist advised that it would be done and quiet by 7pm as per their policy and that as my unit was diagonally across the property from the function, I wouldn't be able to hear the music. I was fine with this and continued to my room. Both statements where lies. The music was blarig loud enough that I could barely hear the TV in my unit. The party goers parked directly infront of my unit and when the decided to leave at 10pm, they took a whole 30min to continue the party from their vehicles. All the time urinating against my unit, vehichle and continuing to drink. Security did nothing. I eventually fell back to sleep only for the party goers to return later and continue the car park party. I was also promised that I could easily check out with the security officer, which also wasn't the case. No one to be found. I tried to contact the reception numbers, all went to voice mail. I am now having to travel 1300km on little to no sleep. This is not a "Luxury Hotel". It's a party venue. I would advise travelers against booking in here.

South Africano wifi, reception no one we had to wait try to phone the number on the wall, no answer. rooms are like back door rooms, no microwave., why is it called a hotel? it is nothing like a hotel, room too basic and uncomfortable, no soap, water cold in the morning, room too dark

South Africa1. When we arrived they told us that there were no more available rooms but yet we had booked. They even asked us if we did not cancel - they are confused and not professional is handling customers. We spent more than 30 mins at reception and eventually given a make shift room. 2. We booked room for 2 but there was only one cup for coffee. 3. Dstv does not work. 4. The security guard is very lazy, he didn't want to open gate when we told him that we will be back early in the morning - security risk
