The access to the property was through a lengthy gravel road.

The rooms were tidy and the view from the deck was good.

There is no restaurant on site or easily accessible shops in need. Crossing Grocers was closed on Sunday and Monday during our trip, which was inconvenient. Security measures are not in place for the entrance gate. The paths are also not very well maintained for vehicles. The game drives are excessively priced at R1300 for a family and this is not a big 5 game reserve. There is no entertainment for kids, only a pool on site. Suggest management looks into establishing a small shop or restaurant on site. Also a jungle gym for kids. And to allow for self drives within the reserve.

It's very comfortable accomodation with good views surrounding the lodge.

Bats. There were bats in the rooms that we slept in. A notification should definitely be up with regard to this.

The location of the lodge is quite difficult to get to, the roads were very muddy but the staff is lovely and very helpful!

The gate are manual and there is noone manning them which means you have to get out and open them even in the night. I suggest they invest in automated gates. The gates are also never locked which means anyone can access the property. There was a 12 hour powercut and we were surprised to learn that there was not back up. We would have expected them to at least have an inverter or generator in light of the powercuts South Africa is experiencing.

The chalets are beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and kitchens and living area are well equipped. The rooms are very spacious and I loved the ambience and the views. There is some game on the farm for those interested in a game drive.

Unfortunately units are not suitable for elderly people. "A few internal stairs" turned out to be really steep and difficult to negotiate as well as the steps leading down to the units. People should be notified that it is unsuitable for wheel chair and elderly or disabled . Road getting to units was a nightmare, loads of mud and we got stuck in the mud - so rainy season definitely not the time to visit.

loved the views. The game ride was great - saw lots of interesting animals.

Kitchen was lacking a few basic utensils like a wooden spoon and normal pan. Towels could be upgraded as they are very worn. They should notify guests to bring insect repellant.

Location is beautiful. Bit pricey for the game drive and they should allow you to drive by yourself and pay a fee. Aircon in the rooms is lovely.

Was a bit run down compared to previous visit some 6 months earlier. We also never saw the manager on duty unlike last time to enquire about our stay.

Bathrooms were dark. Maybe change the floors there. Bathroom was not appealing they should do more cleaning and have an extraction fan on there Poor housekeeping, the house keepers were not changing bedding, the bedding is brown does not look appealing House keepers need to be re-training on housekeeping, it was a total turn off The roads are gravel and when it rains the cars struggle to drive through, we struggle with our cars stuck in the mud. They should make a plan to maintain the road from the entry gate to the lodge.

The dissappointing part was the wifi it was not working therefore the was no TV for the duration of our stay it was terrible I wonder if am going to get a discount based on that or..?

I would have liked a indoor hot swimming pool, which can be charged for the hours being used eg R50 for two hours etc This would have made my stay as I went there to rest and spend family quality time. Or even a Jacuzzi on the terrace :) would have been awesome.

The lodge was great and spacious. Very clean and have the basic for the self catering. The staff very friendly and happy to help. Not too far from Johannesburg.
