I loved everything about this property!!! The house, garden and rooms are beautiful. Every detail on what would make you comfortable had been thought about. A cupboard to unpack with plenty of hangers. The basin had space to put out all my toiletries. The bed was incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen. There was a table in my room to sit at and eat at. Lots of outside and inside tables to sit and relax. My room had a kitchenette with full crockery and cutlery and a fridge and microwave. A full range of toiletries were provided. They are one block from the beach - so I walked on the beach every morning. This was a work trip - but I felt like I was on holiday. The staff are great and they offer a wonderful breakfast in the morning.

The parking is a bit tricky but nothing too concerning.

Huge room, comfortable beds, excellent bathroom and the very kind and professional staff. I had an issue with my tyre and the host, Debbie, even offered me her tyre repair kit so I can fix my problem. The breakfast is great too with good portions and fresh food and a very nice dining area.

Lovely, friendly small guest house. Great breakfast and nice gardens with pool to relax at. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Also Tiffy the dog was lovely - can't forget her !

Good location, friendly staff. Magda was amazing and let me leave my luggage at the property way ahead of check in time. Place is like a museum with interesting decor.

Not one single thing

Maison H is one of those real gems in life that you stumble across almost accidentally and then ask yourself why on earth you haven't stayed there before. Quite why anyone would stay anywhere else is beyond me. Impeccable attention to detail. Excellent location. Wonderful staff. Fabulous breakfasts, Two minute walk to the beach. On a scale of 1 to 10 the result is 11!!

A beautifully-appointed guesthouse, both conveniently located for King Shaka Airport but also chilled and quiet due to its Umhlanga location - just metres from the beach. Our family party really enjoyed the relaxed garden area and pool - and the associated ‘honour bar’ for drinks was a thoughtful touch.

The room 2 bathroom possibly could do with a shower door as the shower water always spilt over onto the bathroom floor. The bathroom sliding door does not track smoothly and often sticks when pulled close / open.

The breakfast was great. The room was very comfortable, aircon and overhead fan was a great bonus in the Durban humidity.

I don't have any complaints regarding this Guesthouse. Everything was up to scratch.

The service was excellent from the start. The staff are truly friendly and helpful. Small details in the room like the nightcap, real milk, rusks, etc. were such an excellent gesture from the Guesthouse. Breakfast was great as well.

I have stayed here multiple times. It is beautifully decorated. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very functional. Love all the small touches, like the home made rusks. Love the breakfasts. It has a beautiful garden and is in walking distance from the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
