We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomHaving never previously stayed in Jeffreys Bay and having searched websites under 'hotels in JB' I thought ---and given the high price paid--my expectation was for a hotel with a four star range of services.,not a b and b. For the price I expected the range of tv channels to be wider than was the case,but to be fair to the staff/management more channels were accessed upon my request. The bathroom was quite dark and inadequately lit to enable having a shave.
The Mandyville is a good standard bed and breakfast establishment. The original ,fine building has been developed by re-designing/fitting out the ground floor and adding rooms in an integral extension. The 'office' is manned 8-5 and there is a member of staff available throughout each 24 hours. A modest 'honesty'bar facility is available with guests asked to 'log' what they take. The Mandyville is in quiet Uys Street which is within sound of the sea though not in view,at least from the ground floor. The central beach/facilities /popular eating places area is a 10 minute walk...a more up market restaurant similar distance. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff were helpful. The front of the Mandyville has a small,well maintained garden with outdoor seating.

South AfricaDo not understand how this place is 4 star accommodation at the price we paid. Pictures shown are misleading to what we got. The room we were in was tucked away at the back of the parking area with zero view of anything, no garden or sea view or balcony. We battled to get milk for the room after asking 3 times and it was never restocked. We just got our own eventually. The place just looks like it needs fixing everywhere for example (Shower leaks due to door seals being non existent and shower head is damaged and pressure is terrible, braai area benches wooden broken panels lying around, bedside bookshelf broken and loose). The fridge is extremely small and was leaking water from the freezer upon arrival. More bottled water should be provided because the tap water in Jbay is terrible. Getting a cup of coffee in the morning at breakfast is also extremely frustrating waiting 10-15min some mornings before it arriving as they take food orders as well as make the coffee. A simple thing like having a filter coffee/tea station like the breakfast station would resolve this and the guests can make their own coffees as needed. Speciality coffees can then still be ordered normally. The reality is that we have experienced way better 3 star places at a fraction of the price and we paid 4 star exuberant rates to experience 4 star accommodation, which we sadly didn't get. If you want to be 4 star, then the details matter.
Staff were friendly. Location was close to places we wanted to be. Breakfasts were tasty.
