The fact that we were not even accorded a phone call to advise that there stay expectations would be affected by the fire. The pot holes/state of the roads were horrific! The lack of visual animals (other than if you participated in a safari game drive where the guides all scream around looking for animals and to join 10 other safari trucks). And to hear that animals are being "siphoned" out of Pilansberg to other exclusive parks. NOT GREAT FOR US LOCALS

It was really sad that the restaurant had burnt down. It was worse however, that we were not informed pro-actively about the inconvenience of having to travel to and from Batgatla every morning and evening. (Especially for elderly ladies travelling on that open road in the dark at night)

The whole resort is in need op some serious maintenance, it is sad to see the resort in such a state. You can easily imagine how the place looked 10 years ago.

Food was very good and the chalet was nice and clean

The tents are very run down with pieces torn off and holes patched very shabbily. There was a fan in the room, but no plug adapter to plug it in. I had to go ask at reception for an adapter so we could use the fan. At least they managed to find one. Even though it is stated that towels are included I had to again go to reception and ask for towels as they were not in the tent. The grounds are in serious need of attention with weeds standing knee high everywhere. The bathrooms were clean, but in a serious state of disrepair. The shower I used did not drain properly so I was standing in an ankle deep pool of water after showering for 5 minutes. My choices were a shower with no shower head, one with broken tiles on the floor and a hole through the wall, one where the door did not close properly or the one that floods. The light inside the tent and the outside light are connected, so if you switch ON the light both inside and outside goes ON or OFF. So you cannot only have the outside light on while keeping the inside one off the keep the insects out. When we left at 9:30 there was nobody at reception, so just left the key with the plug adapter in front of the computer. It is sad as Manyane has serious potential and used to be a very nice camp site to go to.

The tent was clean and the beds were comfortable and all the people I interacted with was friendly. Ample hot water in the bathrooms.

We did not get the room we paid for when booking. There was two single beds in the room and no microwave or cutlery. The tv had limited channels and most of the channels were just advertising Dstv.

The breakfast and dinner were exceptional. The staff at the restuarant was great. The swimmingpool was relaxing. They did apologies for the fire that waa there last year but they put you in a downgraded room.

The safari tents were very expensive for what it offered. The plug points weren't all working correctly in the rooms, and fans had twin plugs but the tent only had 3 prong. The tents were not very clean either. Ablutions are also very far from the safari tents.

Location is perfect for Pilanesberg and the resorts facilities were great. However, it is close to a township and loud music continued until 3am which meant little to no sleep unfortunately.

The noise from the staff quarters kept us awake until 2 in the morning .apparently, this is common at manyane .our unit was supposed to have tea and coffee, nothing, and the door didn't lock properly. Staff at reception are not very helpful..

It was clean, and the tent was spacious

the ac leaked terribly and didn't cool very well. The room had a lot of cobwebs and the floor was quite dirty.

There was a problem with the safari tents that we booked so we were upgraded to chalets. That was a nice surprise. However they were a little dirty and the air conditioning (while it was a beautiful upgrade) leaked quite badly and left a puddle on the floor. But all round we were very happy as we only paid for the safari tent. Thanks for the upgrade! A great location for getting into the park and a nice pool and outside braai area. Would stay again for sure. Also there was a generator for load shedding which was a wonderful surprise.

We were there on Tuesday there was no power till 11pm, the next morning we went for breakfast late as we we waiting for the water to turn on. No one notified us or provided a bucket or 2 for people to atleast wash their face. We purchased bottles from the caravan shop to try and wash up abit.

The staff were amazing, the place was clean and absolutely beautiful. And food was surprisingly huge portions for the 3 course dinner. Definitely value for money

The camp shop is quite expensive and there are no prices indicated on items. The tents need some tlc as some of the window straps are broken. I am of the opinion that the accommodation is expensive given the amenities provided and the overall state of the camp site.

The tents are neat and clean. The location is right next to Pilanesberg which is great. Ablution facilities are very neat.

Tents are in need of a lot of maintenance. Ours leaked in when it rained and had holes in the netting. We didn't have a fridge in the unit and had to go ask for 1 Cleaning and maintenance staff used unoccupied tent as their pinic spot and played music with no regard for paying guests. There is no spa/ wellness facility Putt putt area's wooden bridges are falling apart.

Spacing between safari tents were good. Had a nice uninterrupted view. Security gaurds were very friendly and saw them patrolling every night. Reception staff were also very friendly

The unit lacks of good maintenance, eg. Fan for the lofts, or aircon in the living area especially in this hot summer days, the doors is broken and don't open well, and poor lighting. Some kind of burglar bars that one can open windows and doors for some air without worrying about baboons.
