Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Having a view of the ocean while sitting at the lounge and hearing the sound of the waves each morning... The veranda that was between the bedrooms and the living room was a perfect place to sit with a book to read Access to the beach which wasn't too far from the flat Response by the team whenever we needed something

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. The place was clean, furniture cosy and comfortable, especially the beds. The sea views are spectacular, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the deck overlooking the sea. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was a dream!

South AfricaIt would be great to have had a tumble dryer onsite. It was disappointing to not be able to lock my car in the garage as it was filled with other furniture and stuff. Only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a family of 6 (supermarkets are a short uber away). A maintenance issue: the water from the aircon runs down a gutter onto the floor of the atrium, which is not cool. It looked like the gutter needed some attention which hopefully will get addressed asap. While security is always an issue no matter where you go, and I did appreciate the security measures in place (alarm linked to armed response, doubled locks on all doors), I must say that I was left with a bit of anxiety as to what really is around me that I was not aware. This is not a criticism, but just a share to my thought.
This was a self catered break and the place came with all the typical household amenities, you would expect. Spacious enough for 6. The Seaview is stunning. Being close enough to watch the waves crash against the rocks was a delight. Note though, that the unit has a direct "sea view" and not direct access to the beach. Access to the beach is a short walk out of the complex, and down a short path (not even 5 minutes walk). I enjoyed the easy access to the beach. Although, the climb of a few stairs(down to the beach) could be a little taxing on the older generation. The daily cleaning Service was great. Oh, the atrium is really a great touch,....open enough to hear the sea while taking in the beautiful night sky. Very relaxing.

South AfricaI think it might be a good idea to invest in a tumble dryer. We had some rain and struggled to dry the wet clothes and towels.
Amazing view of the ocean! Open plan home with all the necessary appliances. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Cozy courtyard with built in braai. Safe environment for littlies as well.

The unit was big and spacious. our unit was clean and has a spectacular view. a short and beautiful walk to the beach. the cutlery and crockery was sufficient for our brunches and dinners.
