How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

As our second visit must speak for itself, we just love the set up. Only 15-20 mins from the Kruger park entrance. The local town offer all we need from fuel to food and take-a-ways too. The hosts and staff are so friendly offering to help if we need something extra, They also have pool and lovely reception area that doubles up as communal area come breakfast if you ask. We will be back.

Gravel road leading up to the property - we were unaware of the gravel road and it had been raining so the road was poor.
Room was gorgeous, bed was so comfy, view was lovely.

The road to the lodge is a bit bumpy, but an Oasis awaits!
Everything! Our stunning chalet and beautiful outdoor kitchen Gijs and Gus, the beautiful dogs Natasja, Eric and staff's friendliness, chats and laughs. The delicious breakfasts!

That our stay was so short.
Our hosts were great. The food was delicious. We had a great stay. Next time, I'd prefer to stay a bit longer to truly appreciate the lodge. We were only there for one night.

The units are very close to each other. We were lucky to be the only people at the lodge at the time, but if you like your privacy this is not the spot for you.
Neat, clean & comfortable. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Close to the Kruger National Park Phalaborwa Gate. Good breakfast each morning. Love the labrador that came to visit. Enjoyed our stay.

We've been to Masorini Bush Lodge before and loved the location - close to town, but in the bush. Its a convenient stop on the way to the Kruger National Park.

Natasja was so welcoming when we arrived. She was happy to organise game drives and the boat safari for us and share her tips for the area and give us recommendations for nice restaurants. As two 30-year-old girls traveling together, we felt very safe at the lodge. When we mentioned something was broken in the room, it was fixed straight away. The rooms were perfectly cleaned every day while we were out exploring. The braai and outside kitchen was our favorite thing to come back to, to cook our dinner and relax with a glass of wine watching the sunset and scenery from our little patio. We will definitely recommend the lodge to friends and family and we hope to be back very soon! Thank you :)

We had a lovely overnight stay. The lodges are clean and neat. We enjoyed the comfortable, king sized bed. Beautifull sun rises and sunsets in the bushveld. Natasha serves up a lovely wholesome breakfast. An all-round awesome base for those wanting to explore the Kruger. Thank you Natasha..

Nothing was not liked. I loved everything
The location is the best. A few kilometres from the CBD, far enough to be super quiet and serene. The chalet I got had a kitchen on the outside/veranda with a view of the bush. The bed was big and comfortable. There is no television giving guests an opportunity to relax and reconnect with nature. WiFi connection is very strong.

I liked everything about the place.
I liked the quietness of the place. It's away from the CBD so you get to enjoy nature in its fullest. Also, it's close to the KNP Phalaborwa gate.

Very nice host who recently took over the lodge and renovated it very nicely. Lot of space, clean, comfortable. The amazing dog stole our hearts. A beautiful place to be. The only downside is that on the neighbouring ground close to camp is a big 5G antenna. Nothing the owners can do about, but still important to know. Otherwise, we would come back for sure.
