We had a wonderful stay at Mbazo, the staff the food and the adventure made it all special. The highlight was the elephants coming to drink in the pool during the day. We go to watch them from so close.

The watering hole, pool, salt and molasses really attracted the animals. We can watch them and they can watch us. The game drives were new everyday. Happy hosts.

I cannot fault this lodge. We had a wonderful time!

Incredible service! The staff made us feel so welcome and we were treated like royalty the entire trip. We also saw some beautiful animals on our game drives.

There was a fee to pay for safari entry access or something to that effect of R150 everytime, mine amounted to R600. After paying an all-inclusive amount, no one wants to still pay for anything. I would rather make this be part of the booking. It threw me off a bit and this was at check out. But in any case, everything was beautiful and worth every rand paid.

Everything about this place was just exceptional. I went to relax and celebrate my birthday and the hotel understood the assignment. The Welcoming was super special, the rooms fantastic, the serenity insane. The food was very nice, i was constantly full, enough to eat enough to drink (All inclusive). The hotel baked me a cake for my birthday and also set up the room after supper with champagne which was very special. The safari drives were really good, the guide very informed, the welcome every time we return from the safari were spectacular, especially the evening drive with welcome drinks and performance from the staff. Twice having our meal the elephants came for water, that was just special, made the view even better...

We had such a fantastic experience, staff members were all super friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay special. Also, the kids club was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise that our little one enjoyed a lot and allowed us to have some “couple time”. Game drives were simply amazing, our guide very knowledgable and we managed to spot the big 5 plus many more animals throughout our stay. The “bumble bee drives” for our little one were so much fun and greatly appreciated. Rooms and common areas are very stylish and modern; the lodge directly boarders the reserve and many animals walk by every once in a while, including elephants that drink from the pool. The very diverse and tasty full board food options as well as the broad drinks menu rounded off the stay.

Mbazo is a beautiful retreat with an awesome wildlife right in front of the pool. Elephants were coming over multiple times per day. The food is delicious, and the team is outstanding. Game drives were superb! We hope to be back soon.

honestly nothing....the place is fantastic!

Breakfast was two courses, and ready for us as soon as we got back from a game drive. All staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and greet you as soon as they see you! We had hot towels to refresh ourselves once back from game drive and drinks after the afternoon drive. The whole experience was ever so lovely! We got asked our lunch and dinner preferences so they could have this ready for us as soon as we were back from a game drive. The lodge itself is exceptional, clean, quiet, every little detail thought out. Turn down service with a little treats!

gorgeous lodge with amazing staff and wonderful rooms. the extra care they all took of us and of our 2.5 year old son - always making sure someone was on hand to help and printing out bedtime stories for him - was a cut above anything we have experienced. there was also a bbq night under the stars with open fire that was a wonderful experience. safari was not the best for big cat spotting but we saw so many wonderful rhinos and elephants at extremely close range and had a family of meerkats living under the porch which was a delight. thoroughly recommend to all! 😃

We really liked our stay at the Mzabo Lodge. There are 2 game drives included in the price (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), which were just amazing. The food is excellent and the people are super friendly. Special shout-out to Sandile, Kabelo and Ruan for making our stay exceptional!

Magical beyond belief. The wonderful staff did everything to make us feel welcomed. Game drives with exceptionally knowledgeable rangers (thank you, Jandre) were fascinating. And of course, to see a herd of elephants drinking water from the pool was a cherry on the topping.

Difficult to say that was something we did not like, for a very long time we can’t remember having such a perfect stay.

The location and the style of construction chosen it’s just perfect. The outstanding service in conjunction with the friendliness made our stay very special. The guided tours in the park were extremely good, that of course due to the knowhow of the ranger, perfect work. The detail of the food and the venue chosen within the property for every meal made it even more delightful.
