The 12km dirt road was a bit rough at times, therefore took about 1 hour to drive, but we were given the option of either driving all the way in our own car or the staff would've collected us at an off-site parking area. We chose to self-drive and enjoyed the mini adventure in doing so.

We were blown away by the combination of luxury and privacy afforded by the tent. In fact, calling it a tent is somewhat misleading - it would be better to call it a luxury lodge with tent-like features. There was so much space in each of the rooms, and the furniture/appliance selection was exquisite. And 10 out of 10 for all the staff who facilitated the weekend with excellent service.

The view, tranquility, stuff, the villa was breathtaking. I honestly loved everything about my stay. Every was luxurious and we were so spoiled with room service and well taken care of.

The facilities were exactly as in the photos. Very clean and the staff were very caring and professional. The menu was very delicious, and my favorite was the chef's hot sauce. It was delicious!!!

Everything! The tents are incredible - very big and so luxurious inside. Even better than the photos. Whoever did the interior design has a great eye and really paid attention to the details. It also works well as a living space; both of us could stretch out in the living room and read our books, which is a rarity. Needless to say, the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. We slept like babies with the sound of the stream right outside our tent, and appreciated the turn down service to make everything a bit cozier. We genuinely thought we were the only guests, but learned later that they were full up (and saw the other guests at breakfast). This speaks volumes about how private and secluded the tents feel. Zuannette and Arman, the couple running the retreat, really made our stay an 11/10. Zuannette was so helpful and accommodating even before we reached the property; she helped us organize a Valentine’s scarp drive and picnic on very short notice. We also enjoyed several of Arman’s meals (he is a talented chef and runs the restaurant). They are friendly and genuine but also run the place very professionally, which is not an easy balance to strike. I would definitely recommend an evening scarp drive and picnic, it was not just beautiful but also interesting to learn about the history of the place. Also impressed with the delicious spring water! I could go on but please go and see it for yourself, you won’t regret it!

There was absolutely nothing we did not like about our stay at Mbizane. Every aspect, from the impeccable service to the stunning surroundings, contributed to a flawless experience.

Our stay at Mbizane was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks in large part to the exceptional hospitality demonstrated by Armandt, Zuane, and their dedicated support staff. From the moment we arrived, they extended a level of warmth and attentiveness that transformed our experience into something beyond the ordinary. The meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of our stay, from the impeccable accommodations to the delightful dining experiences, was truly remarkable. Armandt, Zuane, and their team went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and indulgent. Our time at Mbizane not only exceeded our expectations but left an indelible mark on us. Additionally, the breathtaking ride up the mountain pass after the rainfall added a magical touch to our stay, making it an experience we will fondly reminisce about. Zuanette and her partner Armand run a remote quiet retreat in the Schoemanskloof. The tents are luxury and excellent equiped including full kitchen equipment. Cooking however is not neccessary since |Armand serves standard an excellent breakfast and an even better dinner on request with a real passion for food. The retreat is situated 30' from the mainroad and the route towards it is quite bumpy. However you will be picked up on request by Armand. Mbizane is an excellent stopover for 2-3 days if you are " en route" from Johannesburg to Kruger. Tranquility and hundreds of different birds will make your holiday one to never forget.

Everything was beyond exceptional and I mean everything from the staff to our luxurious tent. I had the most amazing stay with the LOML, It has to be our favorite place by far.
