Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

South AfricaWe checked in late and was told by the receptionist that exceptions were made for the guests at the bar. We were told that the bar closes for the public at 9, but guests at the hotel could still go up after 9, and we'd be served. This guy was so full of it. I understood what he was saying/where he was coming from, that there were residents staying there and if the bar remained open, it could be noisy/ a disturbance for tge residents, but the way he was saying it and implying that we were lying about what were told upon check-in, put me off though. He said he could hook us up with one drink, I took the drink, but my girlfriend looked put off completely. That kind of put a damper on it.
A beautiful hotel. Great spot, comfortable, clean rooms. Great breakfast!

SingaporeThe rooftop bar closed at around 9pm, which i think is too early. Sometimes the door to the main entrance of the hotel could be closed, and will have to press the bell for the staff to open the door There is no travel desk, thou they do have quite a lot of brochures to for you to book your own tours directly
The location is very very near to City Sightseeing office (bus stop no. 5), which is a great way to tour around Cape Town. It's also near to quite a few nice bars, thou you might want to avoid walking alone at night Breakfast is good, thou a bit limited. There is Macdonald, KFC, burger king within a very short distance, in case you choose not to enjoy the hotel breakfast. There is housekeeping everyday, and a bottle of water is provided complimentary from the hotel everyday. There is also a rooftop, which serves good long island tea. Water temperature from the shower takes some time to warm up, and adjust to your preference. But think most hotels, except the high-end hotels, have this issue too. So i wouldn't be too concern about it, as long as eventually it's the temperature i want. Uber from the hotel to V&V waterfront is definitely affordable. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Loved our experience in the Rooftop Airstreams, something completely different. Beds were very comfortable. It was clean, neat and very well appointed. The staff were excellent and helped out at every opportunity.
