A couple of power outages due to non-stop rain in the area made cooking a little tricky…but communication from the host was great throughout.

We spent 4 days at Canyon Cottage with the family over Christmas. The house is beautiful and the location even more so. The pictures really don’t do it justice. We’ll definitely be back, and for longer next time.

I think if the place isn't opened often the only problem is the amount of bugs/spiders from the curtains. When they air it out maybe spray some bug spray and or have a box outside with some bug deterant. We found spiders trying to get into our bags. There definitely could've been a better cupboard or armoire for the clothes. Maybe instead of the mirrored vanity thing. Also. It rains often in dullstroom but there wasn't an umbrella. Might be a nice touch.

The place was fantastic and the bed nice and clean and it was great to have the Charlotte Rhys products as an added touch. We enjoyed the extra kitchen goodies so we could make our own snacks

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the walking you could do around the place - it was so beautiful. There was no noise and super peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway. The place was in an ideal location and just a few minutes drive to the centre of dullstroom.

That there were no alternative to an electric heater for the cold weather and Stage 6 load-shedding. That the fireplace and wash basin is outside. However it was only unfortunate as the weather was so cold and there was only a cold water tap available at the washbasin.

I really loved the scenery of the Estate. The food at the Walkersons Restaurant was also amazing.

The setting was amazing, with enough fireplaces and heated blankets that meant not one of us was cold! The house is beautifully appointed and fully set up for power outages (if there are any). The thoughtful touches (lovely soaps, adapters in every room, torches and ice machine) were so lovely. A very cosy, affordable and comfortable place and the housekeeper was friendly and kept the place spotless. The short walk to the waterfall is gorgeous as well.

We could not enter the property (hanger hideout) as we did not receive the code for the gate keys. We had to phone around (cell phone signal poor) to try and get in. But we got hold of the relevant person eventually and all was good.

I just wish the apartment itself had a window that opens to the beauty of the surroundings. However that is not a train-smash as we were able to walk out and take it in.

This accommodation is a beautiful Walkersons Estate. So scenic. The room was clean and very private and quite. There is a indoor shower and a lovely outdoor shower. We took beautiful walk in the morning and chilled by the fishing dam.

Well the only let down was that our fire place didn't have wood we had to ask the security for wood which he also didn't have and suprised that we didn't get wood. Also had an issue with hot water because of the size of the gyser had to wait like 20 minutes after my partner took a shower.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. We loved the quietness, our own private hangout area with the fire place. The walk in the morning by river was amazing, saw some Zebra's at night on our way from Dinner at the Hotel.

The Room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. But the scenery of the estate was 2nd to none.. Breathtaking views and scenery. Amazing breakaway for us
