Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaDirections are not great. No mention that Milkwood is in the Elandsfontein region, no map available of this section. Also not given code for the gate into the park.
Milkwood was simply amazing. Everything we needed was there. The decor is stunning, the place is clean and super comfy. The kids loved the pool even though it was still cold. William, the houseman, is super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back sometime.

The serenity of the place is out of this world! Milkwood Safari Lodge is clean and very well taken care of. Every bedroom, bathroom, kitchen facilities, pool, entertainment areas, viewing decks, towels, etc. are beautifully decorated with love and impeccable taste.

AustraliaI was advised via e-mail to pay a deposit of R2000 via bank deposit, and I advised that it would be done via credit card machine at lodge, which was actioned. After leaving and asking, waited 15 days later for refund was advised to send bank details and was then refunded the deposit less R480 international transfer fee, that was bad service equally we paid for the game vehicle for 2 days and a cleaner for 3 days, was advised R900 a day for game vehicle we only got charged R800 a day. The vehicle was not road worthily and it was delivered late morning - the speed dominator did not work the hand break did not work and vehicle needed a stone behind wheels to keep it standing. We asked for it to be replaced and it was on the same day with an old game vehicle that had breaks but speed dominator did not work.
A nice property with great layout and great location, some home items need replacing and maintenance.
