There could have been some handsoap/ handcream and shampoo in each of the bathrooms. Advertising the unit as a Game Lodge, we expected a small touch like this Dishwasher lining coming away from the door We booked to rent the game viewer for a day, which unfortunately was not roadworthy

Location was excellent and we enjoyed being surrounded by the bush and roaming animals which was a lovely treat for our international visitors and the children in our party Rooms were beautifully decked out and comfortable

The property requires some maintenance for example the globes need to be replaced on the balcony (only 1 globe of the Chandelier is working) the shower heads are not all in good working condition, the swimming pool water pipe need to be replaced or fixed, and some of the bed lamps/plugs are not working correctly. The game drive vehicle need to be repaired the flat tire and fuel pump/battery. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our experience.

Loadshedding , very hot ,no aircon in the rooms, got lost to find the place. Address says no 21, but it's 621. Google maps does not take you to the right location . Pool seems like it needed a bit of a clean. Filled it up with water, but it kept making a sucking noise, but that was not a big issue., it was lovely to cool off

Lovely place with everything anyone would need, you don't need to bring anything, just food and drinks. The dishes and glasses are good quality. Very comfy , enough space for everyone .Pool is nice. Nice view. Very close to plaaswinkel shop and ingwe restaurant and bar.

When there’s no power then you also then don’t have running water as it uses an electric pump. Secondly the roads to get to the unit are terrible and signage to get to the unit was relatively poor.

The lodge was excellently setup and really loved that we have the place to ourselves in the middle of the bush. Loved the private pool as well as the many fireplaces. Would definitely be going back!!

Magnificent holiday home, with a beautiful deck area and pool. The entertainment area is separate to the bedrooms and it is a perfect retreat for couples or families. Great value for money. The road to the Lodge was very poor. Also, the kitchen zinc was infested with cockroaches. The right hand showerhead in room 2 bathroom was leaking. Although we had to pay a R2000 breakage deposit, there was no list to check the content of the house.

There are a few things that need fixing and upkeep, but since it was such great value for money, it would be wrong to highlight these little niggles which did not detract from our stay in any way.

The photos on the site do not do justice to this property. It far exceeded our expectations since it was much more spacious than what appeared on the pics. The overall layout is excellent and the house is very private. It allows for guests to have their own space as well as being removed from other properties.

What a fantastic place to have a bush break. The lodge is amazing and well equipped with beautiful views over the reserve. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are super comfortable with nice linen. The layout is perfect with the rooms leading off on a boardwalk from the central lodge.The cleaning service was really nice and the tidied up everything daily. We hired the game vehicle which was really nice to be able to go on drives when we wanted to. Lynette was friendly and helpful and was always available telephonically. This was definitely one of our favourite stays ever.

paid a deposit and for a cleaner. the cleaner didn’t turn up with no explanation from the owner after i advised her. was quite inconvenient as we were there with a group of people. when we wanted to cook lunch, there was no gas to use the stove - they came to replace the bottle 2.5hours later with no excuse - had to pay to go eat lunch at the restaurant instead. it is now two weeks after we left and we still did not receive our breakage deposit or money for the cleaner (that didn’t arrive). i have emailed her and she advised 8 days ago she would pay it, but still nothing received

The mabalingwe staff picked up my friends purse and took a 1000 before giving it back. asked where we stayed as we were just girls and if we had braai meat for them, they also drove past our house twice at 2 Am making us feel really unsafe and scared

Property not maintained, shower head lying next to the one shower, bulbs missing from lamps, one shower and lights in bathroom not working, even though reported lights on first day they were not fixed before we left. Water poured from the geyser into the entrance area when we used the shower, response time poor, geyser fixed the following day. Game vehicle which is shown in the pictures is an additional cost, we rented the vehicle but it would not start even after it was “fixed”so we eventually asked for our money back. Rubbish was left in vehicle from a previous user. Infiniti pool was making a lot of noise as water level was very low. We spent most of our break trying to get things fixed, which we did not expect for the rental price.

That it doesn't have children facilities my kids won't enjoy the place if I take them there except to do game drive and pool.

The place was clean, enough space for everyone. My friends want us to visit again in summer to experience the pool and the braai area and enjoy the excellent view excellent place I must say.
