The couch upholstery could use some fixing. The fridge was off upon arrival so we had to wait a bit on the first day for it to get cold. The stove dials need new numbers painted on, it was hard seeing when the stove was off. Nothing to report that soured our experience at the place at all, these are minor things. There is a lack of cell signal in the area which really has nothing to do with the lodge. Our chalet was close enough to the reception area to get WIFI.

The wildlife roaming the lodge was a highlight for our child, and us, being from the city. The pool was very refreshing and pristine. The picture on the site doesn't show the baby pool that was thoroughly enjoyed. The game drive we went on was excellent, seeing giraffes up close, and other animals , as well as getting to see an absolutely breath taking view from the top of the mountain.

Quite challenging to find the location; we had bad luck as WI-FI was not working and temporary electricity outages were happening

An extra blanket would have been good, it was chilly in winter! There’s a bumpy road up the property (it’s not too long) and the roads on the property are also bumpy, so take it slow.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable and fun. The children loved petting the animals there, and were entranced by the ostrich. One braved holding one of the pythons! JB taught us lots about the animals and Frank was so helpful sorting things over the phone when my car broke. Edward took us on some great trips, and advised us of others we self-drove to. If you come, definite book the dinner up the mountain, it was incredible. The children loved playing in the little play area, and we really enjoyed the food we had.

We did not get the room we booked because it did not have electricity. Although the restuarant is beautiful, there was no electricity in the restuarant, so that made it a bit sombre. The aircon/heater was not working. We however had a great stay. We will definately call again.

Beds were comfortable, the chalet was clean and homely. A perfect getaway for family, serene and has that bushveld feeling. The staff was great. My boys enjoyed feeding the animals. The braai area was perfect.

Unfortunately, we had an issue with wasps in our chalet (unit number 11) - brought to management’s attention and hope this will be sorted out for the next guests. Oh, and Vodacom signal is non-existent, there is only wi-fi which was a bit off-and-on

Feeding the caged animals with friendly staff David and Jimmy was a fun highlight for our toddler. The yummy breakfast was followed by a lazy day by the pool. We enjoyed the rustic tranquility this lodge offers.

Although the lodge was not fully booked, the staff were beyond amazing, making us feel so welcome, they really went the extra mile to make the same effort for us four as if there were 100 people, it was really amazing. Super friendly and accommodating with whatever we wanted, it's not everyday you get this, it's special. Comfy beds, delicious food, very sweet place. The game drive with dinner on a mountain is a MUST!!!

Nothing to do with the facility nor the personnel. The rainy weather reduced our activities but we madw the best of the situation

All the personnel at the facility are super friendly. It is indeed a Family gathering. We were just at home. A sure place for a come back

Set in a beautiful natural location, spacious, with cages for the wounded animals. Nice pool. Well-equipped bungalows, with plenty of sockets for charging.

The peace and quiet is very refreshing, but for business to stay in contact is a must...perhaps they could work on better cell phone signal.

The staff are really inviting...made you feel special. The food is top class. Its the type of food served at a luxury Safari..the setting is amazing and the peace and quiet is something you just cant pay for...the wildlife is plenty and roam around the property. Some how its the best accomodation we could have chosen in the area.
