The accommodation was excellent, clean and spacious with lovely décor. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

My Breakfast was delicious, I loved the wors. The bed was very comfortable and my room was very well equipped. The Wifi was excellent and I was very pleased they had room service for my evening meal.

No variety for breakfast. Same cereal, only one flavour for juice, same fruits daily. Same music at dinner and breakfast. It’s tiring after 3days. We stayed 5nights.

Beautiful lodge set in lovey grounds, peaceful and relaxing, Staff were excellent and the accommodation was luxury and very spacious. The restaurant served excellent food and we really enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast. Highly recommend

This is the second time we have stayed at Monkey Thorn Lodge and it was just as lovely as we remember. In fact the gardens were magnificent. The food as always was delicious, home cooked and fresh. The staff were as friendly and helpful as before. We will be back next year. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Outstanding Lodge. The gardens are the prettiest we have ever seen. The Manager and his team were excellent, super friendly and very professional. Our room was superb and very private. We had two perfect fillet steaks for dinner and the breakfast was equally as delicious. 10/10 in all respects.

Fantastic experience. We were shocked at how nice the lodge was, from the moment we entered you could tell someone really loves this lodge. The attention to detail is excellent, from the room layout to the menu. The staff are well trained and very welcoming. The gardens are incredibly beautiful and immaculate. We would recommend this for a weekend away, it is so relaxing.

We had an amazing stay at Monkey Thorn Lodge. From the moment we arrived it was really good. The manager and his staff were tops and looked after us really well. There is nothing you could fault. We sat on the veranda at sunset enjoying cocktails followed by a lovely meal. The beds are the best and our suite was very private. My wife loved the gardens and bird watching. We can highly recommend this establishment and will be back next year for longer.

The accommodation was excellent, spotless clean, fantastic room facilities and the main lodge building was charming and a lot of care and attention has been given to make it so stylish and comfortable. The staff were very well trained and very friendly. The food was excellent with plenty of choices and all home cooked. This is an excellent place and next time we will stay longer.

We stay with friends at this hotel. It was excellent and staff were very friendly. We eat in restaurant and for us we had pizza and we Italian. It was perfect pizza. The room was grand and elegant and the beds were very comfortable, we sleep very good. We highly recommend this hotel for holiday.

Fantastic place. The staff were so welcoming. Best cocktails and food was yummy. Loved our room and the privacy. We will stay again. Great assistance with what we could do in the area and the manager organised our Kruger safari for us which was really helpful.

Great experience, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing, beautifully decorated, clean and very spacious. The gardens are immaculate and the main lodge where the restaurant is was lovely. We sat by the fire before dinner and enjoyed a cocktail and then had the most delicious meal in the restaurant. we can highly recommend Monkey Thorn Lodge and it was also great value for the price we paid.
