Although the Villa we stayed at was a little dated in the decor department, it was exceptionally clean and had the most amazing views. We were surprised at the very comfortable beds and fantastic shower the next morning.

The balcony cover was broken not nice 😕 there was cockroaches in the rooms and also the pools could have lites inside at nite u can't see a thing.

Loved the peace and quiet and so serene. The greenery absolutely beautiful. The view outstanding.my kids were safe and the pools incredible.

The warm water pool was not that warm on our last night and the main pool in the golden terrace was full of leaves. The park was cut off with fence due to the river being empty.

Can you provide more toilet paper. We were there 5days with 2 rolls and 4 people. Montagu hot pool water too hot. Braai Rooster needs to be replaced as it is broken and rusted.

Upon our arrival, our booking for 4 nights in the Golden Terraces, which was fully paid for in Sept 2023, could not be located. We were put up for the night in the trailers, which was disgusting and filled with a mouldy musty smell. Luckily, we were moved to Golden Terraces the next morning, as there was a cancelation. The chalets were a bit dated and needed a thorough deep clean. Bedside tables were broken and held up straight with bricks, couches full of stains. No replenishment of toilet paper now fresh towels were given. Upon check out, reception staff insisted I pay for the 1st night, the actual audacity! Customer service and etiquette are clearly not high on their priority list.

Cold pools were clean, even during the milder March days. (As an FYI, acces to the warm pool charged R20 per person per day. Avalon Springs charged R156 per person as day visitors.) The kitchen is well equipped, and the beds were comfortable.

There is no major upgrades in the houses, still the same brown and beige furniture for many years now. For a resort of this statue I would not expect that I need to light a candle during loadshedding, there is no emergency lights fitted in the house nor is there even a flashlight, the lights was off alot during my stay. Games room needs attention. Did not like the fact that I needed to pay for the hot water facility when I already paid to be on the resort!

The chalet was not what i expected, being the resorts most expensive option. It was dated, and small things that were broken or not fitted correctly were a disappointment.

The location of the Chalet i stayed in was ideal for me. The resort was not busy, and it suited me to a T. The place is really clean

- The chalet looks dated and not really like the pictures shown online - The front awning was missing and therefore the chalet was very hot during the day - The dstv didn't work - The aircon didn't work, a fan was provided instead - No loadshedding lights provided - An iron can be rented for a refundable deposit of R100 but there's only two to service the property - You need to pay to use the hot water pool - We stayed for a week and no clean towels or extra toilet paper were provided during our stay - The sofa has a very unattractive stain that wasn't cleaned before our arrival - The basin tap in the bathroom splashes everytime you open it - It was quite windy and due to all the trees; there were alot of leaves but no one swept for the duration of our stay. It got swept on the Friday morning when we left. - Wifi connectivity was patchy

- Chalet had undercover parking for the car - The braai area was cleaned daily - Close proximity of the cold water pool to our chalet - Free pool board, table tennis board and Fuse ball board in the conference center - Options of tennis, soccer or bike riding if you don't feel like swimming

The place could have been cleaned a bit better, there were spiders in the unit and cob webs all around outside and by the braai area, the braai grill could do with a clean too, there was previous users oil that we had to burn off 1st, and the couch could do with a steam clean, the pools were okay, but was crystal blue years ago when we used to visit, even the hot water pools was merky. The room only had 2 toilet rolls and the security never had backup stock after hours, I had to drive into town at night to get toilet paper. Maybe also consider bringing the bike carts back, it was a nice feature that was lots of fun

The price and the games room were a nice add. The peace and quiet was also nice

My light of the room in the double bed was not working that was a real inconvenience for us. We also had the pool to ourselves and the lady that worked there didn't bother to clean the pool it was constantly full of bugs and trees stuff and frogs which is highly disappointing therefore we didn't use the pool much. As I have ocd and it killed me being in that pool we stayed at the villas

The staff was friendly. Everything was good. The place was clean. We had someone that came cleaned out the bin which was very nice really like that old man.

Nice staff, good location, very close to the Hot Springs, they have a play park and several pools, spacious house with 2 bedrooms, good for 1 night

The bed, shower in bath instead of stand alone shower, it was missing an awning by the braai area, which made it very unpleasant braaiing in the sun. A broken bath outside by the seating area. Broken pedalstal. Avalon Springs - to pay so much money for the hot springs facility was disappointing, the cocktails was expensive and horrendous. It was a mix on cocktails.

there was no housekeeping service from Thursday to Sunday - no advance notice of this we ran out of loo paper - trivial but annoying the TV in the lounge is fixed too high on the wall cottages are a bit dated - needs some modernizing please please redo the internal circular road - its in a terrible condition

the security at the gates had our check in docs and keys handy as we arrived quite late. the braai was cleaned daily - nice one !! The limited access to WiFi - any WiFi is better than no WiFi

The houses i pictured it to be more modern...the furniture and chairs you can see its very old..when u touch it ..it falls apart...the resort is amazing...but the houses they can really work on..or the furniture id say...i also enjoyed the peace..home away from home..
