Communication from the staff around not having electricity was frustrating as meant we couldn't plan any alternative arrangements

Location and facilities kept us entertained the whole weekend and renting the bikes added another part of fun.

The part were we had to leave.

This was a perfect place for couples and Families.The picturesque scenery made is so dreamy and breath-taking. There was lots of animals and lots of activities and facilities to keep the kiddies entertained throughout the day. The house had a fire place and the beds were so comfortable,really a home away from home.The best part of this place is the peace and tranquilty it brings you. We were given a later check out upon request,this really made our trip as we did not have to wake up so early to leave.Thank you mountain splendor !

Unfortunately our neighbours were extremely noisy and obviously don't understand camping etiquette.

The tent was well equipped and the decor very modern. It honestly felt like, home away from home.

This place is actually breathtaking.Could not get enough of the views,the peace and tranquility.Real escape from the city life and stress.Very comfortable space,highly recommended for families with kids.Lots of activities and huge playground,also lots of beautiful animals to see and feed.My 3 year old loved this.Very safe and secure,Thank you Mountain splendor for a breath taking experience!!!See you soon for a longer stay.

Aircon was not working & loadshedding (no electricity 3 times a day due to power shortages in SA)…quite cold in the winter.

Great location, stunning views of the mountains, stayed in the log cabins. Nice fireplace. Great hiking trails within the resort area.

We stayed in a log cabin and we loved our stay. The log cabin had everything we needed and was very well-kitted out. It was clean, extremely comfortable and had great views of the mountain, too.

initially struggled to get hot water but it was subsequently corrected. The main entrance top the camp could be cleaned -up and will immediately create a more welcoming atmosphere. Once inside the campsite is surprisingly fresh and clean.

Bring your own towels

From the bathroom you cannot find the towel and the staff unfortunately could not tell us where is the towel, we initially thought there's no towels and ask for it but no one came, waited 30minutes and called again then they told us the lady put the towel in one of the wardrobe and ask us to look for it, we looked everywhere only eventually found out that is on the top top cupboard with all the bed and seat covers. If the resort can indicate where is the towel in the bathroom or put the towel inside the bathroom will be better. There's also no hot water, you have to switch the geyser first by yourself however during load shedding no hot water at all. Make sure you check the load shedding schedule and get to resort when there's electricity, otherwise you won't be able to take a shower and might need to wait till mid night. During loadshedding there's also no electricity at all and no signal. Normal time, inside cabin also no signal only outside on the terrace unfortunately.

The view from the cabin is really nice, facing directly to the drakensberg mountain. The place is quite and has lots of kids playing area.

I booked for 2 adults and 3 teenagers and we got accommodations for 2 adults and a double bunk bed. This was not suitable
