Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaThe staff needs proper customer service training, They are not well organized, they somehow have bad attitude. They gave me a wrong room and when I went for a complaint I had a hard time explaining to them since they have no idea what bookings.com is, the bathroom didn't have a door this didn't feel right.
The room is well furnished, comfy bed., nice fridge, shower and the toilet are up to standard.. 👌🏽 However the room was small and didn't have a wardrobe.

South Africa1.It was not disclosed to me prior to my check-in that the sliding door of the room allocated to me could neither be properly closed nor lockable. 2. There is no wardrobe to hang our clothes. 3. The bathroom has a toilet but there is no door to close it, thus there is no privacy when using the toilet. I wonder if proper assessment was conducted prior to approving this facilty as a B&B. I had to cancel my stay.

They refused to give me back my refund. on top of that they took me to a village to sleep there where we have to pay R300 after we paid R630. I wish I can get my money back because I didn’t get what I paid for and the treatment was very day because I had to sleep in the village where to road was very bad and ended up damaging my car
