This is an incredible treasure! Sophia and Luc are warm, generous people. not only did Sophia provide a wonderful welcome, on my way out they both came and rescued me from a flat tire and changed it for me!

I just think the kitchen need a few extras, but otherwise everything was up to standard.

We did self catering and did not had breakfast. The river view and quietness were food for the soul. Very good value for money.

Peaceful, tranquil and private, a real hidden gem. Cottages right on the river with an abundance of bird life, a nature lovers dream with all the comfort and luxuries to go along with it. The sunsets over the river from the cottage patio are spectacular in the evening and we enjoyed the scenic drive through the citrus farms, paddles on their canoe and beautiful scenic swimming pool.

The kitchenette and equipment is a bit limited for self-catering guests.

The lodge is a little out of the way, but in a very idyllic location. The facilities are very good. We had our own jacuzzi with a view of the river.

Trees outside, where you park your car, dripped something on the vehicle (no damage though). Maybe owners should just warn guests about that.

Staff greeted you with a smile and you could see they really want to make you feel welcomed. The chalet/facilities was exactly as the pictures showed (no negative surprises) - one definitely feels like you're in nature next to the river.

We loved everything

We loved everything, the absolute highlight for us had to be the 2 Ridgebacks :). The location is gorgeous, the cottages amazing with everything you could possible need, it was absolutely spotless and private. Sophia is delightful and so helpful, she organised all the safari trips into Addo for us and the trip we took with the Ndlovu included a delicious lunch. The Schotia trip was also brilliant and included a delicious dinner and typical South African hospitality. We had an an amazing experience overall and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful lodge in a perfect setting with amazing facilities including terrace, private garden, brai, hot tub and jetty on the river with our own kayak. There is also a nice communal pool in the grounds. The safari they run is excellent

I can't think of any negatives.

Sophia and her husband have an amazing place. They were so accommodating and helpful. The cottage was perfect, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything we needed. We loved the view, sitting on the terrace, and best steak ever on the outdoor barbecue. We took the Ndlovu game drive to Addo and Schotia. Our guide Francois was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the day. The drive to the lodge is not paved, but was easily manageable with a small car

Nearest supermarket 20 minutes away

Beautifully located on a citrus farm on a river. Very big room with all the amenities. Big garden well kept. Kano’s available to make boattrips on the river. Good aircon and bathroom working well. Not too far from Addo so a good place to visit that from. Meals available that you must heat up yourself. Picknick style breakfast service. Great and helpful hosts; very friendly

I really liked the bushy area that is great for kids to explore. The room was perfect as well as the bed, super comfortable. You can bring your braai stuff and make nice braai. All equipment is there and perfect.

The location is picturesque along the river. The amenities and facilities are perfect for a quite and peaceful break. We really enjoyed the canoes and spa jacuzzi the outdoor shower was a refreshing option in the heat. We loved the quite and pure relaxation, a lovely break away from the children. We stayed in unit 5 and couldn’t have a better stay anywhere else.

Everything was perfect, loved the privacy and the serenity of the river cottage. Not a far drive from the Addo gate. Great place to unwind and relax in nature. We will definitely return again. Sophia and Luc were also very helpful and always available. Wonderful hosts.

Lovely tent with built on suite bathroom. Perfect ammenities. Nice undercover outdoor kitchen. Nespresso and airfryer inside also nice touch. Good wifi. Overhanging the river. Exceptionally comfortable bed with superb linen etc.
