We arrived an hour after check in and the poor housekeeper was still trying to clean the mess the guests left that rented the house before us. from chewed gum on the deck, rubbish in the rooms and braai area, as well as dirty clothing. We would suggest to the owners that they block the people that rented before us, and also to ensure that they have enough staff in the busy season to ensure everything is ready on the check-in time.

Ntoma house is very close to the town, so it was easy to pop out to the shop hen we needed something, but once you are inside the estate it feels like you are miles away from the town. The pool and aircon in the living area and rooms was a big plus, as it gets very hot during Decembers.

Outdoor chairs too few and in bad shape when we arrived. Kitchen utensils and pots old and badly scratched.

Nice outdoor entertaining area with deck, swimming pool and fire pit. There is a backup battery system that is great during load shedding.

It gets really hooot, so it would have been nice to have a fan available, seeing that the aircons weren't working. I wasn't comfortable with sleeping with the windows open.

the upstairs bedroom is a tad too small, the spacing in that bedroom is not so convenient, I think the bed is a 3/4 which makes it a bit too difficult to share with someone. I loved the fact that it had its own bathroom as well though. I would really love for them to work on their pool, atleast paint it, so that the pool gives off blue water because it doesn’t give off blue looking like water you’d think the pool is dirty, so if they can atleast paint the inside of the pool so that when they’ve put in water it looks clear blue. I would also like to have a bigger braai stand, not those mini braai stands

I really enjoyed the patio overlooking the pool, along with the two bedroom downstairs which had an ensuite bathroom. It allows everyone sleeping in their own room to have the comfort of showering in their own space

The swimming pool is too small. The upper room is too small and not comfortable for couples. The delay in removing the dustbin made the surroundings to be smelly

It is a beautiful place to stay. I absolutely love the place. It is peaceful and quiet, and I had an absolute beautiful walk in the area. it is the ideal area for mountain biking as well. Will definitely be back.

I visit hoedspruit almost every holidays, last year I went to one of their properties which is Larima lodge. Apparently this is a new owner of the house and I never enjoyed myself throughout the holiday. What happened is I was travelling with my husband and a child, together with another family that booked another lodge nearby , I explained it to the owner and we understood each other but the morning after they kept coming and invading our privacy it was like we booked the house to stay with them. They threatened to kick us out of their house because we had visitors in the house who never slept there but only came to see us and eat lunch with us / braai. I was forced to pay money for visitors because the owner threatened that they call security and I payed extra money to keep the noise and the peace between me and the owner. We stayed for 3 days and I payed deposit money that requires inspection after we leave if we didn't break anything, 2 days after we left they told us they can't refund us with reasons that we had visitors and I explained to the owner that those people also had their lodge in the hoedspruit estate and only came for eating time and return to their lodge even after I payed an extra 3k now they are refusing to give me back my 2.5k . I did not break anything I did not misplace anything. So apparently the house has a new owner and this new owner has bad reviews even on booking.com if you can check just December reviews they are all bad .

Nothing, the owner kept harassing us and invading our privacy. We were never comfortable in that house , I personally was not treated well I don't know if it's because we were black people or what or is it because of the new owner of ntoma house . I have booked holidays with A&T and I never had a problem but now they said ntoma house has a new owner , no wonder there's bad reviews in December 2023 . I didn't like anything about the property as I was always panicking always getting texts from the owner instead of resting because that's the whole purpose of a holiday .

Poor service from the staff. On arrival, the pool was dirty. The lady on call told us there’s nothing she can do about the situation and that we’ll have to swim in it in that condition; Very rude. There was a warthog staying under the pool area, which made our kids uncomfortable to play outside. The braai area was dirty from the past guests, the Aircon in the living room was not working. There was no electricity and we had to buy electricity on arrival, my baby stained the bedsheet and 2 days after checkout, we were told they’re gonna charge us R900 for the stain as they cannot reuse the duvet. I requested that they courier the duvet and take their R900, the lady agreed and later realised that she’d be losing, she told me she got a stain removal and she’ll now be charging me R150. She was hilarious, you cannot charge guests for your own laundry detergents. It’s like they’ll always find an excuse to deduct money from the deposit they demand. (I’ve attached a picture of the stain). Be aware, you won’t get all your deposit back and they’ll make sure!

1. No prepaid electricity was loaded on arrival, we only had electricity the next morning. 2. The air-conditioning in the main bedroom did not work, after reporting this nothing was done. 3. Air-conditioning in the second bedroom is very noisy. 4. Fan in main bedroom very slow even when on high. 5. The pump of the swimming pool broke, was not fixed after they informed us they would. 6. The lights outside did not work, only one switch out of all of them worked. 7. Plates in the kitchen were dirty(was oily and had food on it) on arrival. 8. No refused bag was left, we had to ask for it. 9. The braai was not cleaned on arrival, everything was still there from the previous guest. 10. We asked management to give us a call because we were not happy with the service we received, till this day no one has reached out. 11. We had to pay a deposit, that we did receive back quickly, but it does not feel very fair to pay a large amount for a deposit and be treated like this. Very disappointing and won’t be coming back anytime soon.

We loved this property, this gem has everything you could need. The peace and tranquility was priceless. The home is luxurious and comfortable and everything has been thought of. Valarie, the wonderful lady who came in to clean is wonderful and made our stay even more special. We had some furry visitors, which was amazing! We would love to come back in summer to make use of the beautiful pool area. Our booking was handled seamlessly from beginning to end. Thank you!

Thos beautiful home is definitely a break from the busy lives we live. The peace and tranquility, with wildlife all around. The sunsets are spectacular. This is a place we will repeatedly be visiting, if they will have us. it has every convenience you can think of😊

The place was amazing, very clean and truly felt like a home away from home. I loved that the booking is exclusive, you don’t share with other guest during your stay. The facilities are amazing also, I just had to bring my groceries and clothes only, I found everything I needed there. I also loved the privacy and tranquility of it and also waking up to a sight of some wild animals and seeing them around during the day.

The main dining area ceiling had mould in multiple areas which is a serious health hazard so we didn’t feel comfortable utilizing the area for long periods at a time. If there was a kind of concierge service that could better assist in booking activities ahead of time that would be beneficial. Took longer than the 7 days stated to get my breakage deposit refunded so that was an inconvenience. Braai equipment needs to be updated and cleaned between different guest stays.

The location within the wildlife estate was great and security access to the estate made us feel more secure about our safety. Rooms were very spacious, modern and clean.
