Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. A couple of options at meal times would enhance the experience but overall the food was great.
The game drives were fantastic, the staff were brilliant and the accommodation beautiful. My family of 4, two adults and two daughters 10/12 stayed for an amazing 5 nights. What an experience, we saw 4 of the big 5 (leopards were hiding) and much more, in particular, my favourites, the African Wild Dogs. Big thanks to guide Daniel who inherited us for the week. The kids were captivated from start to finish by your enthusiasm and story telling! A real credit to the team! All the staff were very welcoming and really made this a magical trip. We will be back!

United KingdomThe only real complaint we have is that despite having told Nyati of my fiancée’s food intolerances, we were consistently served food she could not eat. Only on one occasion was she given an alternative dessert. It was okay as she could eat the majority of the dishes anyway, but hope Nyati are more attentive to this in the future.
Nyati Lodge is a stunning oasis of tranquility set in 10,000 hectares of game filled reserve. We stayed in a beautiful riverside bungalow, spacious and well equipped. It was a short walk to the main buildings with the restaurant and pool. Staff were attentive and friendly across the board. There are two game drives a day, and we were lucky enough to see all Big Five animals during our two day stay, a testament to the guides’ expertise. When not on drive there was a gym, driving range and pétanque pitch for those who fancied an activity, and hammocks, comfortable chairs and a pool for those who would rather relax. The food was of a high quality both in taste and presentation. We had an absolutely fantastic few days and would highly recommend to anyone looking to go on safari in the Kruger!

United KingdomWe would have liked to stayed longer! The drive to get to the nyati gate is in itself quite long but you can see animals on the way. Possibly the game drives could be 3 hours so there is a bigger relaxation window inbetween.
The location on the river was perfect so much game viewing possible from terrace. Villa spacious with own pool but resort pool was lovely as well. Lunch and dinner served to you very nice and often 2 wines and a desert wine offered in the evenings. Breakfast was a buffet poss could have had more pastries etc but was still good. Staff were very accommodating.

United KingdomNot enough variation with the food, we thought the drives were both an hour too long (3 hours instead of 4)
The room was lovely, really spacious and d the view from both our room and breakfast were lovely. The staff were incredibly generous since we were celebrating our honeymoon. Our rangers were lovely and very well informed

GermanyWe loved our stay very much! But the chalet could get a little fresh up, some of the equipment felt a bit outdated - which is not a problem at all, but in relation to the price it could have been a little more modern in the chalet.
We loved our stay at Nyati! You‘re in the middle of nature, 40 minutes from the main gate and the drive to Nyati itself was already a game drive for us. The lodge and our chalets is next to the river where you can see hippos and other animals! Everything was really well organised, we loved the game drives in the morning and evening! Especially with our guide Egnacious. The staff was super friendly and they thought of everything- from the water in the fridge, to insect repellent in your room! The food was different every day and it felt like you‘re in a wonderful safe Safari bubble. They really make the most of your stay!

Beautiful lodge by the river with wildlife roaming around, clean, well equipped, excellent hospitality, great game drive guides (we enjoyed Danze’s knowledgeable sharing of wildlife, Gunther’s tracking of wild dogs, Lems’ wittiness, and Ashante’s helpfulness). Food was fabulous, every meal.

IsraelThe stay at Nyati Safari Lodge was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the lodge's stunning surroundings and the warm welcoming of the staff. The rooms were beautifully decorated and provided a cozy retreat after thrilling game drives- the highlight of my stay. The experienced guides took us on unforgettable journeys through the African wilderness, where we encountered magnificent wildlife up close. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Their attention to detail and personalized service made us feel truly special. The dining experience was exceptional. The culinary team prepared mouthwatering meals that showcased both local flavors and international cuisine. Each meal was a delightful fusion of taste and presentation, leaving us truly impressed.

South AfricaNothing we didn't like - except that our stay was tooo short!
Perfectly situated on the banks of the Olifants River. Our Chalet had a gorgeous view, even a hammock to lie in to enjoy the view. Rooms were very comfortable, staff extremely friendly and food delicious. Sunday night's dinner in the bush was the best! Would definitely recommend that you try include a Sunday night in your booking to enjoy the bush dinner.

South AfricaIts not really what i didnt like but rather a suggestion that they need to put signages on the road. You drive 45 min on gravel road. There is no indication that assures you on the right track.
Venue was beautiful. Most units are river facing, so everyone gets an opportunity to stay on the "right unit." Natasha and Ashante were so friendly, and the game drivers were excellent in finding and tracking the big 5 down. Natasha made it extra special for my husband's 40th. She arranged a cake and champagne and beautifully set up our chalet. They even accommodated us on check out with a complimentary lunch, which I really think was so sweet. I have not been to any place that makes you feel like royalty so well done to all the staff.
