We could walk around on the farm. The view from the cottage was stunning. secure parking was also provided.

It was all great.

We loved the wide stoep and the view from there. The braai was excellent. The cottage was very spacious and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed watching the sunbirds drinking the drops of water that overflowed from the solar hot water.

Phil is a wonderful host. The place is astonishing with breathtaking views. Very tidy with lots of space. We loved the dogs and do not miss out on a refreshing dip in the lake.

We loved the view. The cottage has a view of the western side of Towerkop, the local famous mountain. It's very pretty and scenic. We went to swim at the dam. The dam is super. Lovely grass lawn and a super view of Towerkop. It was spectacular.

We love everything from the introduction at reception till handing over of key. We have stayed at Crimson Tide twice and its literally heaven on earth Words cannot do it justice it has to be experienced. It has become our place to refresh revive and relax. An idyllic spot tucked in a peaceful valley between the mountains in the Little Karoo. We were lucky enough to stay in cottage Chemin Blanc, with spectacular sunrise views over the vineyards to the hills beyond. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed mountain hikes, swimming in the dam, fishing and general relaxing on the veranda of in our well equipped cottage. All this and a lovely friendly welcome from our hosts for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

We ordered dinner which was very delicious and more than enough, no breakfast was needed. We stayed over in the main farmhouse with plentry of rooms and very comfortable. Enjoyed the silence on farm and host was excellent.

This place was a highlight of my cruise along the garden route. A hidden gem! Everything was beautiful from the surroundings to the cottage to the breakfasts. Oakrest is off the beaten path but so worth the visit. I stayed in the Crimson Cottage which was comfortable and tastefully decorated. It was also stocked with everything you’d need for an easy carefree stay. There’s a hiking trail just outside and a lake for swimming around the corner. Oh! and the views are breathtaking. Superb!!!

We stayed in this lovely, comfortable cottage which was within walking distance to the reception but had a nice sense of privacy. We enjoyed eating at the table that was outside on the balcony and watching a million stars appear in the sky as night fell. The cabin was cozy and was equipped with nice extras such as a backpack picnic kit and wine from the winery. We took a nice hike up the mountain that was just behind the cabin and were rewarded with amazing views of the mountains around us. I wish we could have stayed longer.
