Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South Africalocation could be better, but cant be helped , it is what it is. I would suggest having your wits about you when walking around outside. The hotel itself looks like a lovely old colonial house with lovely wooden floors. The initial impression over all is OK however a few simple maintaince repairs would improve the general impression. One small towel is not enough especially when there is no floor mat in the bathroom. Once inside the hotel I did feel safe and having Netflix was a real bonus. The owners are obviously trying to be recognised as a place to go to , and indeed it is quite quirky and different and for that reason everyone should give it a fair chance . a bar on the balcony would also be a bonus and a consideration for the owners.

South AfricaNoise,linen is not changed as I stayed for 3 nights,1 toilet roll ,no airfreshner in the bathroom. First day when I checked in ,I was taking a shower and the shower head changed its position it faced upwards.i reported immediately but they didn't do anything about that.Their breakfast is served at 9h30 so if you leave early you miss on it. The noise at night by the receptionists whether from YouTube or ticktok. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

BrazilThe nightlife around of hostel is too rough, if you're looking for a good night to rest, this isn't the place! They sell vacancies with breakfast included, but in fact, they give the guests a voucher to be used in another place that is open only at 11 Am. I stayed for a night, but the neighborhood seemed unsafe, all the places were protected by gates. Luckily nothing happened to me.
It's near walking of some restaurants, markets, and stores. For those that like nightlife the hostel is around a lot of pubs and snookers.

United KingdomTo say that Obz has seen better days would be flattering. Needs a great deal of refurbishment. My room was very dark, and power saving light bulbs didn't help. The bathroom in my room, created in a recess, lacked any fittings - they had all fallen off, and though there had once been a mirror over the basin it too had fallen off and not been replaced. Access to this recess was a safety hazard. Breakfast, taken across the road didn't start before 10.00 and sometimes failed to be ready even then.
Staff were friendly, and the location suited me well. The hotel was secure behind its controlled entrance gate.

South AfricaThe room I was in did not have a bathroom door, which is a problem when sharing. My door was a bit faulty, it couldn’t close without the key. There were no fans/ac in the room. The WiFi was weakest in the room. No shelves/wardrobes in the rooms, there were however 2 hanging racks.
I liked that although the property was close to clubs, its location didn’t expose us to huge sound levels. The security and access control was up to scratch. The friendly staff was ready to help when needed. Check in was a seamless process and we were in our rooms in less than 30 minutes after arriving. Being close to local grocery shops was a plus for us. The room was clean upon check in.
