When we got here some of the cups and glasses were abit dirty. I feel the showers could be properly cleaned, you can see the mould and mildew build up which unfortunately led to my youngest child of 3 getting a fungal infection. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great but the time waiting for the food to come was really long and that was highly annoying. We here with kids so waiting for food is a no no. The carpet in the lounge doesn't seem clean and when sitting in the lounge in the evening it's like small bugs are biting us. I would suggest to rather remove those altogether.

Price vs value of restaurant - can be better. Limited options not reflected in price. Had some water pressure issue but was sorted out the next day by housekeeping. Could have been prevented with thorough check of room before guests arrive.

The wifi and cellphone network is not as reliable especially for the rooms on the ground floor.

Great holiday place, location is lovely, private access to the beach, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting the North Coast.

Fried fish had lots of bones sat night, was very off putting. Pieces of ply wood covering? Need to be redone as they looking tatty.

The staff needs to be more efficient in performing there duties especially in the restaurant. You wait for hours before the waiter attends to your needs.

The menu for breakfast was overpriced and the selection was not varied. For a buffet breakfast you didn’t have much to chose from that was on offer. If you did want the buffet you couldn’t chose from a set menu. I had breakfast at Zinkwazi Langoona. That breakfast was out of this world and very reasonably priced.

If you stay in the main building specifically room 2 you are opposite the kitchen and the noise is horrific till late into the night. Telling managment didnt make any difference. The pool area is also alongside the dining area and is very noisy.

long wait for cold dry pizza room service Aircon in lounge didnt work

Staff were extremely friendly Manager on duty took my constructive feedback well, Made notes in her book to ensure everything i brought to her attention would be resolved. She tried to refund me for Pizzas that arrived cold and a bit dry (room service, took over an hour for pizza) however i refused as slip ups do happen. Manager was extremely appreciative of my feedback. i will come back to this resort based on my overall experience, The staff and the management being so accommodating and taking extra time to listen tentatively to my feedback

For a 4-Star hotel I expected a lot more from a customer service perspective. Right from the check-in we noticed it. In general we found the staff to be somewhat unhelpful and unfriendly which was rather disappointing (except for Mr. Lallie who was friendly and brought some structure to the chaos and seemed to be involved with organizing everything). The staff "seemed" unhappy to work there and it reflected in the way they treated the guests (maybe they were tired after the busy holiday season). The breakfast was late every single morning (they say it is opens from 7am, but they were rarely ready by 8am with everything). The breakfast itself was fine, nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either, it was pretty much exactly the same every day, 3-star at best. On face value I would say there seems to be an issue with the general management (or lack thereof) of the hotel. If this can be resolved, this hotel can once again be a true 4-star hotel.

The hotel, property and location is absolutely beautiful. It has great beach access directly from the property via a beautiful walkway through lush dune forest (with some stairs to climb). The room itself was very clean and well appointed, except for the couch seat in the living room which has seen better days. Everything worked fine and we didn't have any complaints about the interior of the room. We stayed in an Executive Suite and it was equipped with a kitchenette, but there were only 2 glasses and 2 cups and 1 spoon - but it was not advertised as a self-catering unit, so it didn't bother us. Unfortunately we ended up with a room right above the pool and dining area (and right next to the kitchen), so don't expect much privacy and tranquility if you stay in rooms 1 to 4. Fortunately we had a great sea view which made up for it. Overall the hotel itself is great, and our stay was enjoyable and you cant beat the location in Zinkwazi.
