Not much of a view from the rooms.

Love the interior design and decor in this hotel. Rooms are large and well appointed, comfy beds, excellent shower. Breakfast is wonderful, too.

The beds are very short but extremely comfortable. If you’re over 180 cm you could struggle. It does get loud early in the morning when the stalls outside are being set up but it didn’t really bother us.

Very convenient location with beautifully decorated rooms. The staff as always in Cape Town hotels were absolutely wonderful. Lovely light bar area.

Limited dinner menu however, what they had was delicious. Also (both good and bad) the African sing song and drums could be heard until close to 11 pm at night. For me, it added to the colour of Cape Town.

The property was very clean and rooms were modern in an heritage building. Located right at the African marketplace and 1 block from the hop on off bus office and stop. Excellent breakfast. Cheap Uber ride to the bustling water front. Very friendly staff.

A good value for money hotel in a city centre location

The food choice was a bit limited both in the breakfast buffet and if you are dining there but there are lots of places around the hotel where you can dine. Location wise you just have to be a bit careful when walking around this (CBD) area at night, there is tourist police about but you can get pestered and they can be very persistent and hence you need to be careful. If this would cause you concern then the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront area would be a better choice. Note this is not the fault of the hotel obviously.

A good value for money hotel and a handy location for what we wanted to do while in Cape Town. The staff and service was good and the rooms were spacious with everything you would expect at this level of hotel.

The noise from outside is a bit of an issue as the single pane windows don't add much of a sound proofing barrier. The area wasn't the greatest but this and the noise aren't anything within the hotels control so can't hold it against them.

Staff were amazing and a special shout out to Guelord, always on top of everything and making sure the stay was enjoyable.

The Old Bank Hotel is wonderful in every way. But what really makes your stay unforgettable is the team of all the people who make it up. The staff is super friendly, respectful, polite and they make your experience completely pleasant and safe. The hotel has spectacular rooms, comfortable and in perfect condition. Breakfast has what you need but, if you ask, they can prepare more things for you. I've had dinner a couple of nights and the food is wonderful. Special thanks to the breakfast waitress, Aretha, for her kindness, respect and education, she does a great job! Same as the whole Team working at this splendid Hotel, such as Guelord, and many more… My rate 10 out of 10!

Breakfast was very busy at the 7am start which meant limited tables and some shortages of food and waiting time for coffee

Fabulous hotel with old building architecture supported by attentive staff. The room was enormous compared with European offerings and a super comfortable bed.

There was a lot of street noise that could be heard in the room (this was a Friday night). Something to bear in mind for light sleepers.

Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Room was spacious and kitted out with all the usual facilities. Clean and spotless. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Breakfast choices were somehow limited, we expected a bit more. Lady at check-out was a bit arrogant and unpleasant, it ruined good impressions from the hotel.

Beautifully designed and very comfortable, rooms are large, new and clean. We really enjoyed the room. Matelas was very comfortable!
