Breakfast is only on order/no buffet. So if you have an early flight it's near to impossible to get a quick coffee and something to eat before leaving (even if according to the timings breakfast should be available).

The rooms were very dark even with all the lights on. I counldn't see to do my make-up anywhere in the room. The mirror had no light by it and it was impossible to use a hairdryer whilst being able to look in a mirror. The room was huge but the space was more for 'form than function'.

Location was spot on! Easy to walk anywhere, especially The Waterfront. Rooms were large and funky.

Front office staff have to also run bar, help with luggage and the restaurant, too many tasks. Kettle didn’t work and was not fixed during stay. Room was very narrow and cramped.

Location near Waterfront, Cruise Terminal and downtown. Car parking available within building. Staff are amazingly attentive and keen to help. New (independent) restaurant opened in complex called Bellagio, superb food and setting and only 20m walk.

The bed was uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on my husband's side of the bed (it's two beds pushed together), to get a good night's sleep. There was a big gap between the beds where the beds were pushed together.

Gorgeous hotel, love the decor and overall feel. It felt more like an experience than simply a hotel. The staff were friendly and professional and check-in was easy. The room setup was impressive, including the Nespresso coffee + pods and milk, and the quality amenities (kettle, soaps, etc). Not many hotels offer bathrobes anymore, so that was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was also divine, both the eggs benedict and the iced coffee.

The plumbing made a slight noise when you or the surrounding guests used the bathrooms. Cleaning staff were good however times of cleaning seems to not be clear.

Great value for money and perfect location. Staff were very friendly and helpful plus secure parking and nice coffee shop on site is a bonus.

When I booked I briefly looked under the heading Pool and saw Sun umbrellas assuming that means pool. There is no pool. Very hot in Cape Town in December and that was a bit of a deal breaker to return as well as the noise made by the water pumps every time you flush the toilet. The interior of your room is very dark and my room (13) did not have an extra mirror to use to blow dry hair etc. only a mirror in the bathroom which was very dark and of course no plug point.

Great location to restaurants and the VA Waterfront. Interior decor interesting and modern. The staff were great and very friendly

We had a couple of lights missing in our room which made it challenging to see things. Milk replaced in the fridge was off when tried for use a day or two later. Some issues with numbers of towels, operation of the airconditioning.

Modern hotel with loads of character, spacious rooms, in a good location between the waterfront and the CBD. Breakfasts were a highlight, as was the personable nature of the staff. We loved the quirky nature of the books, shelves and old furniture, right down to the talking book in one part of the path to the rooms. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms large with great showers. Really handy having on site parking. Recommend Bellagio in the same complex for a meal, or two!

Only thing was that there was a glass window as a wall between the bathroom and the main room so you could see everything in there, would be great if they could put some frosted covering on the glass to have some toilet privacy?

Great locations, really spacious room and safe parking for our car which was great. Really really reasonable price for the room! Lovely staff, really friendly and helpful. Plus, only 10 walk to the waterfront, we felt really safe.

Had to ask for a lot of amenities (iron and ironing board, extension plug for hairdryer weren't provided). The room was quite noisy and the curtains didn't fully close. Requested a double bed and had a twin with some padding stuffed down the middle.

Gorgeous hotel in a great location, just a short walk to V&A waterfront. Room was big and had lovely decor and absolutely excellent value for money. Staff were all incredibly friendly and breakfast included in the room price was excellent (and delicious!)

1 large pot ? What can you cook? Rather have 2 smaller pots and a pan. Kitchenette is beautiful, but it's definitely short on a few items. A kitchen towel would be great, but nothing is available. The place needs to be fumigated as explained to the receptionist.

Hotel seems to be housed in business incubator/coworking space, so A LOT of non-hotel people are congregating in restaurant, common areas, hallways, etc., making facility seem crowded.

A few staff are especially attentive. Breakfast included in room rate.
