You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The setting is lovely - the rooms are beautiful; gardens very pretty and the pool (while we didn't swim in it) looked so inviting. While for most this is probably a stop-over, it's worth getting there early to enjoy the space.

South AfricaOur stay at Old House Lodge was excellent. The room was neat and clean and the gardens were very pretty and we enjoyed the birdlife. They went out of their way to ensure that our motorbike was safe and the breakfast served the next morning was delicious.

South AfricaThe shower head needs to be changed as it literally fires out water which can be sore on the body. The gate had to be manually opened and closed - i do have a lower back issue and was battling due the weight to the gate, but also having all my luggage in the car, i felt exposed to risk and robbery while opening and closing the gate.
I arrived at 19:00 and everything was arranged. The key was in the door, the aircon was on etc. The room was clean, especially the bathroom and bedding. It was also quiet, which i enjoyed.
