What can I say about this cottage and facilities other than, Wow! This was our final accommodation of our 5 week trip to South Africa and O can honestly say i wish we had been staying there longer. We arrived early and were met with the most friendly of welcomes and allowed to drop our suitcases off while they finished preparing our room. The Cottage is spacious, light, and airy with a really homely feel to it. Lovely dinning area with a microwave and filter coffee machine, which looks out onto the beautiful garden. I absolutely love the DIY breakfast. They provide you with all you need to get the day started with fresh eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, bread, and fresh musilie and yoghurt provided and replenished.in your fridge each day. We lived the homemade rusks too. The kitchen is small but you have all you should need with a two plate hob, kettle and toaster. There is also a braai (bbq) on the parltio putside should you wish yo use it. Beautiful garden and pool, and we enjoyed sitting out each morning with a coffee. I've got tension the two dogs, Duke and Laila who are just lovely and come to say hello each day and check up on you. Lovely friendly staff and owners who made us very welcome and we can't wait to return on our next visit to SA.

Karl and Tracy were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. I used to live in Benoni, and they allowed me to have a braai for a few friends and their families. I really appreciated that, as the main reason for my visit to Benoni was to catch up with my friends and meet their grandchildren. The 2 dogs were very friendly and made it like home from home for us. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and Joanna made sure the fridge was restocked with breakfast items that we could have whenever we wanted. The garden was peaceful and the pool warm. I would stay there again.

Small, very quiet and exceptionally clean facility. Cozy! As good as new and modernly furnished. Small pool. Braai Facilitys.The host constantly takes care of your well-being. Iwill definitely stay here again next time I'm in Benoni or Joburg.

Everything was perfect

Aircon heating kept the cold out. We are not used to JHB in the winter but we were more than comfortable in the cottage. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was more than enough. Loved the filter coffee! Dog very friendly and loved my son - he says they are now BFFs :) Would stay again if we are in the area.

The room did not heat very well (the system said it was 30 C/86 F, but we could see our breath in the room). There were loads of warm blankets, but the tile floor was freezing and we all huddled in bed longer than desired in the morning because it was cold in the room. We did not have a chance to tell the hosts during the stay, who may have been able to help.

The place is spacious and the location and grounds are lovely. Hosts were great. We booked a night before we arrived at 7am on a flight after 30hours of traveling plus an additional night. They left breakfast foods out for us to enjoy when we arrived, which was appreciated.

Absolutely no negatives.

Very welcoming hosts provided us with a clean, well equipped and spacious cottage on their beautiful grounds, with electricity provision throughout despite the notorious South African power cuts. A complete breakfast awaited us in the kitchen of the cottage in the morning to indulge at our own pace and plenty of dining and shopping facilities close by contributed to the comfort. Quiet and peaceful surroundings, and a comfortable bed with crisp linen guaranteed a good night sleep to start our trip to the south. Parking at the grounds for the time we were away was an added bonus and the Uber-service to the airport and back was easy and short.

An exceptional stay at The Olive Branch Cottage with great, attentive hosts, Karl & Tracy. Arrived at the cottage to a fridge stocked full of yummy breakfast goodies and homemade rusks. The bed was very comfy and in general everything was great, especially not being affected by load shedding! Only a short distance from a really great Italian restaurant, Tonino - recommended by Tracy.

Not much just the TV needs a upgrade perhaps.

The breakfast was designed to be made by yourself which was great as it had loads of options and no set time. Good coffee is a must and the honest bar in the fridge offered a range of wine. The rooms were large and comfy with Netfix included.
